How exciting! This definitely puts Thailand on the global fashion map.
I agree, but I wonder how sustainable these events truly are. Fashion shows are notorious for their environmental impact.
Given the focus on eco-friendly design approaches, I think they are trying to make a positive impact in that area as well.
Yeah, the blend of creativity and sustainability is promising. Let’s hope they practice what they preach.
It’s nice to see emerging designers and students getting a platform. It must be a great opportunity for them!
It could be, but let’s not forget many of these ‘platforms’ just exploit young talent for marketing purposes.
Why are they involving big corporations like KASIKORNBANK and PTT Global Chemical? These events should be about creativity, not corporate interests.
I get your point, but those corporations provide the funding necessary to make these shows grand and impactful.
Also, corporate sponsorship is pretty standard in the fashion industry worldwide.
I doubt Thailand will ever be a fashion capital. This seems more like a publicity stunt.
Why be so pessimistic? Thailand has a rich culture which can add a unique flavor to global fashion.
I get that, but competing with places like Paris and Milan is a stretch.
Seeing international brands like Marimekko and The North Face getting involved is quite refreshing; adds a global touch.
Good to see collaborations like ‘Absolute Siam x Dry Clean Only x AJOBYAJO’. Might lead to some groundbreaking designs!
Totally! Collaborative works often bring out the best innovations.
Global fashion events in Thailand could boost its economy significantly.
Yes, but it’s essential also to ensure local designers and small businesses benefit, not just the big names.
Looking forward to this! BIFW2024 seems like the perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
Fashion shows are overrated. Why spend so much when there are more pressing issues in the world?
Fashion is a form of art and expression. It has its own place and importance.
Still think the money could be better spent elsewhere.
The partnership with Epson and sustainable printing techniques sounds intriguing.
Happy that Bangkok University and Thammasat University students get a chance to shine. Go local talent!
Can’t wait to see what LIE SANGBONG and Shanghai Tang will bring to the table. High expectations!
Their past works have been impressive. I’m sure this will be no different.
The ‘SOUTHEAST ASIA – LUXURY’S NEW FUTURE’ seminar sounds like a great networking opportunity.
It’s always good to connect with industry experts and influencers. Hope they share some valuable insights!
I’m just here for the freebies and shopping perks! Haha.
Aren’t we all? The Siam Paragon World Fashion Privilege sounds sweet.
Will there be any coverage for those of us who can’t attend in person?
Yes, they mentioned live runway shows and fashion dialogues on social media. So you won’t miss out.
I hope they put enough focus on ethical fashion alongside sustainability.
Picking names like FUNDAO and Frank Garçon to showcase their collections is a bold choice. Can’t wait!
It’ll be interesting to see how they maintain this event’s hype yearly without diluting its quality.
