On a sunny Monday morning at the headquarters of the Royal Thai Police, he was first observed making his arrival in a sleek white automobile. Following this, he geared up to preside over the regularly scheduled Cabinet meeting which took place at the distinguished Government House. The man creating this stir is none other than the popular Srettha Thaugsuban.

Upon interacting with the media, he shared an interesting piece of information. He confessed to borrowing his beloved wife, Pakpilai’s vehicle, all in a strategic move brimming with anticipation and inspiration. His aim? Winning over the hearts at Tesla as he gets ready to engage in an enlightening discussion with the global electric-vehicle company in the upcoming month.

Interestingly, the charismatic Prime Minister named several merits of the chosen ride – the Tesla Model Y. Leaving no room for carbon emission, this environment-friendly beast is as smart towards the planet as it is inviting and easy to access. It is, Srettha noted, in fact, more user-friendly compared to the Mercedes Benz S-Class that he has been entitled to as the supreme political leader.

Srettha’s choice is not without purpose, and the government has a well-planned agenda behind promoting Thailand as an Electric Vehicle (EV) hub in the Southeast Asia region. This progressive vision is about dramatically shifting gears towards ecological responsibility while ensuring technological advancement on the global map. Srettha relayed with enthusiasm that this electric dream’s endorsement forms an integral part of the agenda on his much-anticipated visit to the high-tech city of Beijing.

Currently, Srettha, along with a remarkable delegation, is in China. They are there to participate in the noteworthy 3rd Belt and Road Forum, a two-day event poised to shape crucial relationships and perspectives, and it kicks off on Tuesday. His EV initiative is but a hint of the progressive steps expected to be unveiled during this important gathering.
