2.12 million tourists visited Thailand in the first half of the year, and an additional 7.5 million were anticipated in the second, according to TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn on Thursday. The TAT predicted that there would be at least 9.62 million visitors overall this year, while the governor suggested that there could be up to 10 million. He estimated that the sum of the 160 million visits by Thai visitors will likely reach 1.2 trillion Thai Baht. Almost 100% more “tourist traffic,” according to Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, executive vice president for marketing at Central Pattana, has returned to the company’s shopping centers in well-known tourist sites across the nation. More than 4 million people had visited Thailand as of the first of this month. According to Yuthasak, the Thai tourism sector may revert to its pre-Covid levels in 2024.
The TAT collaborates with private businesses to boost tourism and the national economy. In collaboration with Central Pattana, the largest retail property development and investment company in the nation, it has launched a campaign dubbed “The Great Collaboration for Thailand’s Tourism Ecosystem.” The TAT forecasts that ten million tourists would visit the country overall this year, he said. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) estimates that this year’s influx of international visitors could total 10 million, boosting the GDP of the nation by an additional 1.2 trillion baht.
TAT projects that 10 million foreigners will travel to the nation this year
