Thailand is accessible to Filipino business travelers. Phiphat agreed and declared that Thailand would support the employment fair. Christina Garcia Frasco praised the minister’s remarks from Thailand.Thailand’s hospitality sector, according to Tourism Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, is experiencing a manpower shortage. She added we keep an eye on the COVID-19 labor deficit. To rehire those who left the industry or were laid off during the epidemic, I’m in contact with the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). We have made the decision to hold job fairs focused on travel and tourism all across the Philippines.
According to Frasco, DOT and DOLE are collaborating with Thai and Philippine government organizations on “Trabaho Turismo Asenso!” 22-24 September. The 67-year-old asserted that now that travel restrictions have been relaxed and tourism operations have started, open positions can be filled. Phiphat chose to hire Filipinos because they speak great English, which is a requirement for greeting foreign visitors in Thailand.
To be ready, regional DOT offices are gathering information on open positions, job descriptions, and other posting specifics. The Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Thailand Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS) both approved allowing Filipinos to work in the hotel industry last week. The DOT secretary said she had invited Thailand to hire more Filipinos in its hotel and restaurant industry.
