The study asked readers to rate their choices for food, entertainment, culture, and community. More than 20,000 people participated. Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Road currently make up a sizable portion of modern Chinatown. Yaowarat has always been a popular destination for those who love street food, but more recently, edgy galleries and upscale eateries have also flocked there, making the area just as fashionable and culturally varied as the day it was first paved.
These are the top 10 coolest streets in the world:

After asking readers about post-pandemic living in their communities, the London-based Time Out magazine ranked Yaowarat Road as the ninth coolest street in the world. Yaowarat Road is well known for the diversity of cuisines it offers, and at night it transforms into a bustling street food hub that attracts visitors and residents from all over the city. The primary thoroughfare of Bangkok’s Chinatown is Yaowarat Road, which is located in the Samphanthawong district. Since the Chinese community relocated from their previous position more than 200 years ago to make place for Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace, it has served as their primary commerce hub. Bangkok placed 51st out of 53 global megacities in 2022. One of the “coolest alleys in the world” is located on one of Bangkok’s oldest streets.
