Singaporean tourist consumes marijuana in Thailand

Under the Misuse of Drugs Act, any Singaporean or permanent resident who used drugs outside of Singapore is guilty. The CNS will investigate positive urine test results and conduct drug checks at the border. Given the availability of marijuana in Thailand, K Shanmugam, minister of law and internal affairs, says it will be hard to keep Singapore drug-free. Some tourist locations, including Bangkok’s Chatuchak market, ban the usage of cannabis to ease anxiety. A Singaporean says she didn’t plan to use pot in Thailand in July.

Although marijuana is legal, Singaporeans can’t use it at home or abroad. In Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, she confused cannabis for “kangkung” Sueanne was glad her kids disliked the dish. Singapore’s Minister for Law and Home Affairs, K Shanmugam, told Sueanne unintended drug use is not a crime. Thai law limits cannabis extracts (like noodles) to 0.2% THC.

Sueanne may have legal troubles in Singapore if a urine test shows she consumed cannabis. Without THC, Sueanne wouldn’t have gotten high from the noodles (THC). The Central Narcotics Bureau of Singapore (CNS) said it’s prohibited to use cannabis in or outside Singapore. Sueanne lied about taking a home urine test. +9
