Bringing together their mutual strengths and commitment towards sustainability and lower greenhouse emissions, Gloyta Nathalang of Bangchak Corp Plc, and Veeradej Tejapaibul, of the Thai Renewable Energy Association recently marked a dynamic collaboration. As the executive vice president of corporate branding, communication and sustainability activation at Bangchak Corp Plc, Gloyta pulled her weight, which was further reinforced by her deep-rooted industry expertise in her capacity as the chairperson of the Carbon Markets Club. The binding agreement was stamped with the sign of a memorandum of understanding which took place in the noteworthy Century Park Hotel Bangkok.

The partnership is fueled by an ambitious roadmap counting several significant milestones they aspire to achieve:

  • Boosting Thailand’s propulsion towards attaining its target of “net zero” emissions.
  • Elevating the adoption and usage of renewable energy across the spectrum from individual households to large-scale private corporations.
  • Creating an effective platform to facilitate Energy trading with a particular focus on carbon credits and RECs or Renewable Energy Certificates.
  • Creating synergetic collaboration opportunities for sharing valuable knowledge and information via various channels including but not limited to academic seminars, hands-on training sessions, site explorations and knowledge exchange along with event partnerships.

Flagship representative of the Carbon Markets Club, Gloyta Nathalang shared her optimism and zeal for the unique collaboration. “My thrill and honor in representing the Carbon Markets Club for this partnership with the Thai Renewable Energy Association can hardly be put into words. We aim to leverage this partnership towards expanding our robust network and focus our collective efforts towards enhancing our understanding of global warming, carbon offsets, carbon trading, amongst other subjects of critical importance,” she shared.

Gloyta added on how the collaboration was projected to create ripple effects on over 600 members of the collective networks. “Our tandem efforts very well reflect the Carbon Markets Club’s purpose towards driving the energy transition and lending our contributions to the collective goal of Thailand and the global community towards achieving ‘net zero emissions’. These efforts seamlessly align with our greater prerogatives,” she concluded.
