If military personnel decide to use marijuana, the ministry demands that they strictly follow the guidelines set forth by the Ministry of Public Health. The council advised soldiers to use marijuana solely for medicinal reasons. According to the spokeswoman, if a soldier is outside of military premises, they are free to use marijuana legally just like any other person.
Col. Chinat Punnotok, a ministry spokeswoman, claims that the Thai Ministry of Defense has issued a strict regulation outlawing marijuana usage on army grounds. The spokeswoman stated that it is also strictly prohibited for military personnel to post pictures or videos of themselves using marijuana online. The spokesperson claims that PM Prayut wants the military, police, and general public to become informed on the benefits, risks, and security measures associated with using, cultivating, importing, and having marijuana.
The ministry has stated that it is totally against the law for military personnel to post pictures or videos of themselves using marijuana on social media while off-base. Additionally, troops are not allowed to use marijuana before operating any machinery or other “risky” operations. At its meeting today, the Thai Defense Council decided to outlaw cannabis use in the armed forces. Prayut Chan-o-cha, the prime minister and minister of defense, presided over the meeting. The Thai army just lifted its three-day Lazada restriction, which brings up military facilities. The influencers who appeared in the advertisements have been accused of lèse majesté.
The plant has been banned from all Thai schools and certain institutions ever since it was removed from Thailand’s list of Category 5 narcotics on June 9. The corporation was prohibited from sending parcels to military sites countrywide for 42 days as a result of an advertising campaign that many believed was disrespectful to the Thai royal family and people with disabilities. The Royal Gazette reported that buying cannabis or cannabis extracts is illegal for people under the age of 20, women who are pregnant, and nursing mothers.

The MOD of Thailand prohibits marijuana usage on army property
