In a bid to stimulate its economy and cement Thai-Chinese diplomatic ties, the Thai government is joining forces with several private sector entities, which include Thai businesses as well as Chinese associates. This partnership has given birth to the “Star For You Tour,” a novel campaign conceived to elevate Thailand’s appeal to Chinese tourists.

This imaginative venture leverages Thailand’s soft influence, showcasing its celebrated artists alongside distinctive travel experiences. The brainchild of the Thai-Chinese Tourism Business Association, the Immigration Bureau, the Tourist Police, Thai Airways International Public Co., Ltd., OTOP Trader, Thai Sports, Exact Scenario Co., Ltd., and Propoliz products, the campaign is timely with the upcoming holiday season.

Aimed at harnessing the allure of influencer marketing, the campaign targets Chinese followers of Thai artists. It promises them an unparalleled travel experience to a variety of Thai tourist hotspots, complete with the bonus of attending a special concert, the “Star For You Meeting Concert”.

This concert, to be held on December 2, 2023, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, plays a central role in the campaign. A rare gathering of four renowned artists from a celebrated series is sure to arouse a lot of interest. The stage will play host to two duos: Film Thanapat and Jam Rachata of “Khun Chai” and “Law Of Attraction” fame, together with Daou Pittaya and Offroad Kantapon from the popular boy band Laz 1, who have also featured in “Love In Translation” on Channel One 31. This historical union is expected to draw crowds to a truly one-of-a-kind performance, the likes of which hasn’t been seen before.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) reveals that Thailand has seen the arrival of 2,876,426 Chinese tourists from the start of the year until November 10, 2023. The “Star For You Tour” hopes to reel in at least another 5,000 Chinese tourists. This surge is projected to generate a whopping 300 million baht, a figure that is bound to make a significant contribution to Thailand’s economy. Furthermore, the project is also expected to strengthen the bond between Thailand and China.

The organizers of the event, Nee Krung Connect Co., Ltd. and Siam Casa Trading Co., Ltd., promise an unforgettable and unparalleled experience. They guarantee that the programme will bear no resemblance to performances staged in other countries. Mark your calendars for December 2 and head over to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok to witness the fusion of unique cultural elements at this highly anticipated event.
