The tragically untimely passing of Yadapa Tansudcharoenying, wife of Chart Thai Pattana Party MP Supachok Srisukajorn, has engulfed the community in shock and mourning. Yadapa, a 28-year-old pharmacist, tragically took her own life at her residence located in the heart of Nakhon Pathom province. Allegedly wrestling with depression for a considerable period, her affliction otherwise obscured by an outwardly content life.
It was a day marred by sorrow when on October 11th, Yadapa was discovered lifeless within her private quarters by the family maid. She was hurriedly transported to Bangkok Hospital Sanamchan, fighting for each moment between life and death. Despite the relentless attempts of the medical team, their endeavours fell tragically short and Yadapa’s youthful life was extinguished.
In the aftermath, a comprehensive post-mortem is underway. The cause of her premature death is under close scrutiny to fill in the final missing fragments of her life’s narrative. Various Thai news outlets suggest her prior diagnosis of depression, a battle waged in hushed touches behind closed doors, may provide a significant piece of this tragic puzzle.
Yadapa and Supachok chose an eternal partnership just a year prior, their rapport held in high esteem by those in their social circle. Despite her long battle with depression, the loving care of her immediate family, and the persistent medical intervention, her inner turmoil remained. Yadapa, a proactive political participant, was seen accompanying her husband through various national campaigns.
However, with Supachok’s electoral victory and subsequent ascension as MP, life as they knew it transformed. His parliamentarian commitments in Bangkok increased, inevitably leading to Yadapa spending more time alone at home. Her solitary existence, coupled with her congenital condition which left her more prone to fatigue, could have exasperated the torment induced by depression.
Supachok hails an illustrious political lineage as he serves as an MP for the Chart Thai Pattana Party. His previous tenure includes a stint as a member of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Administrative Council. His father too graced politics as a former member of the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Council and has been committed to the welfare of the province’s citizens.
