As top holiday destinations for tourists and digital nomads, Koh Samui, Phuket, and Koh Pha Ngan were also praised. According to the most recent data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand has recently garnered multiple awards and top rankings. The country has been praised for its tourism, livability, happiness, Covid-19 reaction, safety, and other aspects throughout the past year.
The following are a few honors or rankings that have so far highlighted Thailand generally or a specific area in 2021 and 2022:
Koh Pha Ngan is recognized as the finest island for vacations by global insurance giant William Russell, while Koh Samui and Phuket are the third- and fourth-best islands for tourism according to DestinAsian. Bangkok came out on top in Asia-Pacific, according to a survey of tourists conducted by the travel magazine DestinAsian.
According to US-based insurance company Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, Thailand is the fourteenth most visited country on Google Street View, the eighth safest country to visit, and the fourth most popular tourist destination overall in the post-Covid era. Thailand is the 71st most livable country in the world and is ranked 35th in the world for using soft power in the Brand Finance 2022 Global Power Index.

Lifespan and physical condition In the Impact Ranking 2022 published by the UK publication Times Higher Education, Chulalongkorn University was placed as the 16th best university in the world for supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Bumrungrad Hospital was named as the 30th greatest hospital in the world by Newsweek. The UN’s World Happiness Report 2022 placed Thailand as the 61st happiest country.
