Get ready for the biggest sustainability event in the Asean region – the Sustainability Expo 2023 (SX2023) which will include a highly anticipated food festival, a uniquely themed marketplace, and a special zone just for kids. This is all happening at the distinguished Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), set to commence from Friday. With the principal exhibits and seminars taking off from October 2nd until October 8th on the grand floor of QSNCC, we are promised a memorable event indeed.

The premise of SX2023 is “Good Balance, Better World”, a theme specifically chosen to stimulate visitors to investigate and embrace more sustainable practices. The whole occasion situated at the QSNCC in the thriving Klong Toey district is complimentary for all attendees. Guests can look forward to gaining valuable insights from discussions led by specialist speakers about the growing green industry, global green market trends, environmentally friendly lifestyles and cutting-edge innovations.

Rooted in royal inspiration, the expo is orchestrated under the design of “Sufficiency for Sustainability”, which is deeply associated with the sufficiency economy philosophy instigated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. SX2023 is accommodating five primary expositions including “SEP Inspiration”, presenting philosophical ideas of sustainable economy, and “Better Me” that provides helpful guidance on coexisting joyfully amidst diverse generations.

The “Better Living” zone will focus on activities by leading companies emphasising a clean environment and the circular economy while “Better Community” will promote equality. On the other hand, “Better World” will display an incredible array of arts related to sustainability. The event also features three distinct zones: SX Food Festival, SX Marketplace and SX Kids, that will run from Friday to Oct 8 from 10am-8pm, all located on the LG floor.

What would a festival be without food? The SX Food Festival will take you on a journey through the Thai Street Food Museum, an immersive experience that brings the iconic contemporary landmarks of Bangkok, Phuket Old Town and other major Thai cities all under one roof. Leading celebrity chefs will demonstrate sustainable food concepts, like zero-waste cooking and introducing alternative protein sources into meals for the eco-conscious foodie.

Eclectic and diverse, the SX Marketplace combines a range of stores from eco-designers to environmental innovation products, gardens, and farms. Over 200 shops will display a variety of offerings ranging from home décor to community goods. This zone will also feature informative exhibitions about stingless bees that enhance the ecosystem, as well as insightful events sharing sustainable business practices and pointers.

And certainly not forgetting the future conservationists, the SX Kids zone is a creatively designed learning space concentrating on sustainable development. Merging digital innovations with environmental experiences, this zone will include activities such as chess, nature study, waste management education and even a garbage recycling station for a truly engaging learning experience.
