In a groundbreaking move set to enhance Thailand’s alluring charm and revive its tourism landscape, the distinguished Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has inked a Letter of Intent (LOI) with prominent EVA Airways Corporation. This win-win alliance seeks to utilize the broad reach of EVA Air’s worldwide route network to amplify visitor influx from global sources into the captivating realm of Thailand.
Yuthasak Supasorn, the esteemed TAT Governor, declared, “Joining forces with EVA Air presents an incredible opportunity for explorative voyagers to discover the mesmerizing enchantments of Thailand. By offering varied flights—both short and long-haul—we enable seamless travel to Thailand’s plethora of wonders, from the electrifying vibe of Bangkok to Phuket’s soothing beaches, along with the mystical ruins of Ayutthaya and peaceful sanctuaries in Chiang Mai.”
On the same occasion, Clay Sun, EVA Air’s respected President, articulated his delight over this strategic partnership. He mentioned, “Enabling travelers worldwide to experience Thailand’s breathtaking landscapes, exuberant cities, and welcoming spirit are the pivotal elements of our mutual initiative with TAT. Our comprehensive global network holds the key to placing Thailand at the forefront of world tourism.”
The critical LOI was officially signed amid a ceremonious ambience in Bangkok between respective dignitaries – Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, TAT’s Deputy Governor for International Marketing, and Charlie Pan, EVA Airways Corporation’s Executive Vice President, Passenger Management Division.
The Letter of Intent boldly advocates the endorsement of Thailand as a favored destination across the extensive route network of EVA Air. Supporting this endeavor, TAT plans to propel passenger traffic from strategic markets by associating with tour operators and travel agents with enticing promotions, incentives, and adept marketing.
EVA Air’s robust network covers 28 direct flights weekly between Bangkok and Taipei, Chiang Mai and Taipei, daily flights between Bangkok and Japan via Taipei, and Bangkok and South Korea via Taipei. Furthermore, the long-haul network accommodates 84 flights weekly between Bangkok and North America, connecting Thailand with prominent US and Canadian cities via Taipei. It also links Bangkok to essential European cities directly or via Taipei.
The LOI encourages TAT and EVA Air to conduct promotional trips for influencers, tour operators, travel agents, and media staff, jointly partake in tradeshows and create versatile advertising campaigns in prospective markets.
