He reported that the blooms presently cover over 500 acres at an altitude exceeding 1,600 metres, with daily footfall ranging between 300 to 400 tourists.

Visitors have a choice between day visits or overnight sojourns at the Sunflower Fields National Park, home to the largest and most captivating wildflower field in all of Thailand, a jewel in TAT’s crown. The Mexican sunflower fields are seasonal beauties, with their peak bloom extending up until the end of December. It makes for a treasured holiday trip, offering visitors an opportunity to escape the winter chill while basking in the warmth of the vibrant sunflower blooms.

The local district of Khun Yuam has made elaborate preparations to accommodate the expected surge of tourists, putting visitor safety and convenience at the forefront. They have set up numerous trails through the sunflower fields, offering picture-perfect opportunities at every turn. The best times to visit are at dawn or dusk, when the temperatures fall, and the flowers appear the most vibrant. In addition to the sunflower vistas, visitors are treated to a sea of mist, stunning sunrises, and spectacular sunsets.

The Doi Mae U-Kor sunflower fields promise much more than just the sight of blooming flowers.
