Radisson Hotel Group has acquired the appropriate permits and license agreements to operate a number of hospitality brands associated with Jin Jiang, including 7 Days and Metropolo. Additionally, the Louvre Hotel Group licensed Radisson to grow the Golden Tulip, Kyriad, and Campanile brands. Thailand is one of the target nations for Radisson’s wider expansion strategy, which aims to increase its current global portfolio of 400 properties to 2,000 hotels and resorts.
The hotel brand now operates 4 hotels in Thailand, all of which are in Bangkok. Additionally, 2 new hotels will soon be launching in Phuket and Pattaya. The company promises to develop the hotel, resort, and serviced apartment brands Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson Individuals, Park Inn by Radisson, Radisson RED, and Radisson. Chinese tourists, who made up more than 25% of all international visits to Thailand before the outbreak, will be able to find Radisson through their connection with Jin Jiang. The hotel industry predicts that Chinese tourists will once again lead Thailand’s list of foreign arrivals once China resumes outbound travel.
According to Katerina Giannouka, president of Radisson’s Asia Pacific Region, the loosening of immigration regulations will make it possible for Radisson to establish itself in the kingdom.
“Thailand offers a variety of experiences for many types of travelers, making it a highly sought-after destination. In order for the Kingdom’s tourism industry to revive, the opening of the borders is a critical turning point. As a result, we anticipate a considerable increase in inbound tourism over the coming months. The Radisson Hotel Group is poised and fully dedicated to the future of tourism and hospitality in Thailand, and we look forward to working with all of our partners to achieve a bright future in this enthralling country.
The Radisson Hotel Group is committed to become carbon-neutral by 2050 and wants to set the standard for eco-friendly travel in Thailand. The Radisson Hotel Group launched an ambitious plan to add 100 hotels and resorts to its small portfolio of assets in Thailand. The hotel company will concentrate on developing properties and forging deals in “major business and leisure locations” such Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui. Radisson also stated that villas would be built in “emerging” regions of the kingdom. The implementation of Radisson’s expansion plan will be aided by shareholders like Jin Jiang International. Jin Jiang will provide digital payments and Radisson Chinese language booking options for the convenience of the Chinese visitors.
By 2025, Radisson hopes to expand its portfolio in Thailand by 100 hotels
