On July 25, the LK Royal Suite Hotel’s storage room containing electrical boxes caught fire. Although some guests went to the parking lot on their own, the hotel was not evacuated. From their balconies, other guests observed the fire and the inspection. The hotel is situated in the Bang Lamung neighborhood of Chon Buri.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt and the fire had been extinguished by the time firefighters arrived. The firefighters checked to make sure the fire wouldn’t rekindle once they arrived. This week, a fire started on the seventh level of a hotel in Pattaya. A big fire that occurred in March also entirely damaged a villa at an opulent resort on Koh Kut. The villa was completely destroyed by the fire.
The property had smoke detectors and a warning system, but they weren’t working at the time of the incident, according to the mayor of Koh Kut’s investigation. This year, there have been a few hotel fires in various locations in Thailand. At a posh hotel in Bangkok, a fire started in March. There were evacuated guests, but no fatalities or injuries were reported. There had been 15 people there, including a well-known pediatrician. The pediatrician broke her spine trying to get down from the balcony. She also required numerous stitches for head injuries.
