PropertyGuru Group (NYSE: PGRU), the undisputed leader in property technology across Southeast Asia, recently unveiled the triumphant winners of the 19th Annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards. This illustrious event, brought to life by Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) and bolstered by SEN X Group and V-ZUG Thailand, celebrated the crème de la crème of Thai real estate development.

This historic awards program, now in its 19th year, honored excellence across nearly 70 categories. Winners emerged from a meticulous selection process spearheaded by an independent panel of judges and regional experts, with oversight from HLB Thailand to ensure unwavering fairness and transparency.

Among the stars of the evening, Sansiri Public Company Limited dazzled, clinching the coveted Best Developer award along with the Best Developer (Phuket) title. But their winning streak didn’t end there; Sansiri also took home multiple awards for their standout projects in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Hua Hin. Singha Estate Public Company Limited also lit up the stage, winning awards for Best Condo Development (Thailand), Best Luxury Condo Development (Bangkok), and Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design (Bangkok).

The 2024 awards spotlighted the rising prominence of regional developers beyond the vibrant heart of Bangkok. Rhom Bho Property Public Company Limited was honored as Best Condo Developer (Phuket), while Villa Carte Group was named Best Breakthrough Developer (Phuket). Kudos also went to Yadalong Property and Ess Developments, who secured accolades for Best Boutique Developer (Phuket) and Best Boutique Developer (Eastern Seaboard), respectively.

This year, a shimmering spotlight was cast on sustainability, with developers leading the charge in health and wellness initiatives receiving special commendations. A novel feature for 2024, the People’s Choice Awards, spotlighted Thailand’s Top 10 Developers, as voted by enthusiastic consumers on DDproperty.com and ThinkOfLiving.com.

Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, the dynamic chairman of the executive committee and group chief executive officer of WHA Corporation PCL, was lauded as the Real Estate Personality of the Year. Her visionary leadership has catapulted the industrial, logistics, and energy sectors to unprecedented heights, both in Thailand and on the global stage.

Reflecting on this monumental occasion, Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, remarked: “For nearly two decades, our long-running awards program has honored outstanding residences, commercial developments, industrial projects, and influential figures. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate developments not only in the bustling metropolis of Bangkok but also in emerging markets and picturesque second-home destinations from the Eastern Seaboard to the Andaman. The winners of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards epitomize the kingdom’s blossoming quality of life, investment potential, and inherent beauty.”

Jareeporn’s recognition is well-deserved. Her leadership at WHA Corporation has genuinely transformed the logistics sector in Thailand.

    • Sara September 24, 2024

I agree! Her strategies have set a benchmark in the industry.

      • tech_guru September 24, 2024

@Sara While I respect her achievements, let’s not forget that WHA has faced criticism for their environmental practices.

      • John D. September 24, 2024

Fair point, @tech_guru. Improvements are needed in that area, but her accomplishments are still noteworthy.

    • Mark T. September 24, 2024

I disagree. Her leadership might benefit the company, but it’s done little for the common people. Corporate greed, if you ask me.

      • Paula K. September 24, 2024

Not every leader can address all societal issues. Her focus has been on industrial growth.

  2. Crystal September 24, 2024

What about the developers in Bangkok? They seem to get all the attention while regional developers are left in the shadows.

    • Vincent September 24, 2024

Regional developers are getting more recognition these days. Just look at the recent awards.

    • Crystal September 24, 2024

True, but it’s far from balanced. These awards still spotlight Bangkok too much.

  3. TommyG34 September 24, 2024

Why should we even care about these awards? Real estate is a rigged game.

  4. Lorne M. September 24, 2024

Your negativity is stunning. There are people who genuinely care about quality and sustainable living spaces.

  5. Martha W. September 24, 2024

It’s great to see attention on sustainability in this year’s awards. The planet needs more of this.

    • green_thinker September 24, 2024

Totally! Developers need to consider the environmental impact of their projects.

    • Barry September 24, 2024

Sustainability initiatives are often just for show. Real change needs to come through policy, not awards.

    • Martha W. September 24, 2024

Policy changes are important, but spotlighting these efforts through awards can inspire others.

  6. Nina Patel September 24, 2024

Congrats to all the winners! But I wish smaller developers got more recognition.

  7. UrbanDweller September 24, 2024

Singha Estate cleaning up at the awards was a lot. Aren’t there any other promising projects?

    • Jake September 24, 2024

Their projects are top-notch. But yeah, more variety would be nice.

    • UrbanDweller September 24, 2024

Exactly, it feels like they dominate every year.

  8. SoccerMom90 September 24, 2024

Jareeporn is an inspiring figure for women in business. We need more like her.

  9. Monika H. September 24, 2024

Absolutely, but we also need to address gender equity at all levels, not just celebrate a few.

  10. Ella J. September 24, 2024

The People’s Choice Awards segment was a fantastic idea! More events should be this inclusive.

    • Franky September 24, 2024

Inclusive? It’s still the rich developers getting more applause.

    • Ella J. September 24, 2024

It’s a start. Giving consumers a voice can lead to more transparency.

  11. Peter L. September 24, 2024

Sansiri winning so many awards again. No surprise there!

    • SarahM September 24, 2024

They’re consistent, but isn’t it time for new blood in the industry?

    • Peter L. September 24, 2024

New blood won’t change if the criteria remain the same.

  12. KimD September 24, 2024

The focus on health and wellness initiatives is really commendable. More projects should follow suit.

  13. realestatefan123 September 24, 2024

These awards highlight best practices but ignore the real estate challenges ordinary people face.

  14. Paul C. September 24, 2024

Huge respect for awards based on transparent judging. Although, how transparent can these processes really be?

    • Nina September 24, 2024

Transparency can always be improved, but this is a step in the right direction.

  15. DeveloperGuy September 24, 2024

As a small developer, these awards seem out of reach. How can we compete with giants like Sansiri?

    • JennyM September 24, 2024

Every great company started small. Keep innovating and your time will come.

  16. Larry D. September 24, 2024

I’m skeptical about these awards. Who’s really benefiting here?

    • Concerned_Citizen September 24, 2024

It does feel like an elite circle patting each other on the back.

    • Larry D. September 24, 2024

Exactly. Real progress should be measured by community impact, not trophies.

  17. Rita S. September 24, 2024

Awards like Real Estate Personality of the Year are great, but what about a category for ‘Most Ethical Developer’?

  18. TommyG34 September 24, 2024

How about an award for ‘Most Overpriced Condo’? 😂

    • Jackson September 24, 2024

Hahaha, I’d love to see who wins that one!
