The Chulalongkorn Business School, situated within the renowned Chulalongkorn University, is revolutionizing business education in Thailand — embracing continual enhancement within their MBA program and fostering an environment where innovation and research shine. This steadfast commitment to excellence has led notably to the school securing the esteemed Triple Crown Accreditation, marking it as a superior institution for shaping the business leaders of tomorrow in the global sphere.
Dean of Chulalongkorn Business School, Professor Wilert Puriwat, proudly presented this prestigious achievement to the world. Besides its long-standing status as Thailand’s leading business school as per the QS World University Rankings 2023, CBS is now lauded with accreditation from three highly regarded international organizations — AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) from the United States, EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System) from Europe, and AMBA (Association of MBAs) from the United Kingdom. A remarkable accomplishment considering only 108 business schools among 30,000 worldwide have obtained this distinguished Triple Crown Accreditation.
Pioneering a new era of achievements, for the first time, a Thai business institute has reached the pinnacle of Thai business school rankings and is now among the top 100 business schools in the world,” beamed Professor Wilert. This significant distinction creates a clear path for CBS to initiate partnerships with varied entities in academia, research, and student exchange programs, consequently elevating the standards of future MBA learning.
Adding to this sentiment, Associate Professor Nuttapol Assarut, Director of CBS’s MBA Program, emphasized that the school’s MBA curriculum is continually refined in response to evolving business leaders’ needs in an ever-changing business milieu.
The revised MBA program at CBS encourages philanthropy and prepares future leaders with an innovative mindset, perfect for creating global impact while upholding the utmost ethical standards. Presented with three fundamental values – Global Wisdom with Local Insights, Real-world Experience, and Leading Businesses with Empathy – the program emphasizes five dimensions of learning: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Care.
Elaborating on the adaptability of the MBA Chula program, Assarut mentioned that this program is created in a modular format. This structural flexibility allows the incorporation of relevant and evolving content, such as the essential soft skills required for surviving in the dynamic business world.
Furthermore, the MBA Chula program has enhanced its delivery methods to include case-based and experiential learning. This allows students to dissect actual business scenarios and craft practical solutions to benefit local enterprises. In addition, the program has redesigned its Overseas Study Trip component by aligning with educational institutions and businesses worldwide, offering students a unique perspective into international business practices.
The mission of the MBA Chula program is to transform graduates into professionals capable of applying their knowledge and theoretical understanding to solve real-world business challenges strategically. The program emphasizes critical thinking, superior teamwork skills, and original ideas, fostering graduates’ abilities to deliver effective contributions to team projects.
Talking about supporting their alumni, MBA Chula has launched a Life-Long Learning program, providing graduates the platform to continue to broaden their skill set through elective courses and collaborative learning opportunities with incoming students.
With its persistent pursuit of knowledge excellence and respected Triple Crown Accreditation, Chulalongkorn Business School paves the way for business education in Thailand, thereby cultivating a generation of dynamic, ethical, and globally competent business leaders.
