On a recent Monday, officials from the Social Development and Human Security Ministry, along with the Shelter for Children and Families, met with the family of the 5-year-old girl in Kamphaeng Phet province. This urgent gathering came after the traumatic recordings had circulated in their community, causing widespread concern and outrage.
The previous day, the families of both the 5-year-old girl and the 7-year-old boy, escorted by Pol Sgt Prachakkrit Saithip—a well-known administrator of a Facebook page dedicated to receiving complaints in Kamphaeng Phet—visited the provincial police station to lodge formal complaints against the parents of the perpetrators.
According to these complaints, the two innocent victims—who are related by blood—were pressured by their 12-year-old neighbors, who attend the same school, into engaging in sexual acts under the pretext of receiving snacks and toys. Shockingly, the victims admitted having done this three times but were never given anything in return.
The families of the victims expressed profound disappointment, noting that the parents of the accused showed no remorse or accountability for their children’s reprehensible actions. Consequently, they have urged state agencies to thoroughly investigate the matter and recommended that the victims be transferred to different schools to safeguard them and prevent any future incidents.
On Monday, the father of the 5-year-old girl expressed his firm intention to take his daughter to a hospital for a thorough medical examination and to gather all necessary evidence for legal proceedings against the families of the 12-year-old girls.
Sources indicate that a critical meeting involving all parties is scheduled to take place at the school, aiming to negotiate and find a resolution within the week. Officials from the Social Development and Human Security will also be present to mediate the discussions.
Pol Sgt Prachakkrit has strongly urged anyone in possession of the video clips to delete them immediately, emphasizing that sharing such material is now illegal. The authorities are adamant about preventing the further spread of these damaging recordings.
This is absolutely horrifying! How could 12-year-olds do something so depraved?
We need to understand what influences these kids. What kind of environment are they growing up in?
Influences or not, at 12, they should know better.
Exactly. There has to be some accountability for their actions.
Maybe it’s a cry for help? Kids that age can be really messed up if they don’t get proper guidance.
Blaming the parents is not enough. The school should be held responsible too!
Why the school? It’s not like teachers can monitor every student’s behavior 24/7.
True, but they should have noticed something was off. This can’t have been out of the blue.
Schools try their best, but some things still slip through the cracks unfortunately.
I can’t believe they didn’t give those poor kids a single snack after all that! That’s just adding insult to injury.
Really? That’s your concern? The snacks? It’s about the trauma inflicted on those kids!
I know, I just mean it adds another layer of cruelty. It’s just so vile.
Fair enough. The entire situation is beyond horrible.
Where were the parents of those 12-year-olds when all this was happening? They can’t just shrug it off.
Right! The lack of supervision here is appalling.
Absolutely. There needs to be more awareness about watching over kids properly.
Probably glued to their smartphones, like everyone else these days.
It’s so sad that the victims have to change schools. They shouldn’t have to suffer further because of someone else’s actions.
I agree, but sometimes removing them from the environment where the trauma occurred can help in their recovery.
But what about the 12-year-olds? They should be the ones moved, not the victims.
This is why I’m skeptical about social media and smartphone usage for kids. It’s a breeding ground for such incidents.
Someone needs to send those 12-year-olds to a reform school or something. They can’t just get away with it!
They definitely need some form of rehabilitation or counseling. It’s a serious issue.
The fact that the perpetrator’s parents showed no remorse is infuriating. They should be charged too!
Yes! If the parents were more involved, this could have been prevented.
Pol Sgt Prachakkrit is right about deleting the footage. Spreading it just causes more harm.
Totally agree. But can’t the authorities find out who made the videos in the first place?
They should be able to trace it back, especially if they involve cybercrime units.
The legal system needs to be swift and harsh in this case to set an example. Such behavior can’t be tolerated.
It’s all just so heartbreaking. I hope the kids get the support they need to heal from this.
Psychological support will be crucial for both the victims and the perpetrators. This incident shows severe behavioral and emotional issues.
What a grim reminder of the world we live in. We must protect our children better.
I think the community in Kamphaeng Phet should come together to support these kids and their families through this difficult time.
I hope law enforcement deals with this swiftly and with the utmost seriousness. It’s a case that demands justice.
Even if the 12-year-olds are still children, they need to be made to understand the gravity of their actions.
