The suspect, recognized only by the name Mr. Arnon, was brought into custody after evading law enforcement for nearly six weeks. His rap sheet wasn’t limited to just these heinous crimes; he’s been implicated in seven additional criminal cases spanning theft, fraud, and the rape of a girl under 15—his own daughter, a grievous detail disclosed by Pol Maj Gen Theeradet Thumsuthee, the investigative commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
Mr. Arnon’s nefarious activities first drew attention due to a string of mobile phone thefts in Bangkok’s Pathumwan, Thong Lor, and Hua Mak areas between July 31 and August 7, 2024. While in the throes of tracking him down, investigators stumbled upon an even more lurid and horrifying revelation: his own daughter was not just a victim of abuse but its chronicler.
The 14-year-old girl courageously recounted to police the harrowing ordeal she endured, shedding light on a nightmarish series of events. Her father took her to a clinic in Bangkok’s Thung Khru district under the pretense of getting a contraceptive injection. This was just the beginning of a sinister series of events. He then stripped her of her mobile phone and confined her to a house in Khlong Luang district of Pathum Thani. Over the course of seven torturous days, he sexually abused her, filming these abhorrent acts.
Adding to the gravity of her plight, Mr. Arnon coerced his new partner and a male stranger into engaging in sexual acts with his daughter, creating a gangbang pornographic video. The girl’s attempt to secretly reach out for help through a text message to a relative resulted in a severe beating from her father. In a chilling twist of fate, she managed to escape and bravely led authorities to her harrowing narrative.
Pol Maj Gen Theeradet elaborated on the steps the suspect took to cover his tracks: destroying evidence and dismantling security cameras before absconding. Further investigations peeled back layers of this grim scenario, revealing that Mr. Arnon and his partner allegedly drugged the girl, while coaxing other men into participating in sex video productions. Disturbingly, Mr. Arnon took on the role of an ‘admin’ for a social media account where he live-broadcast these horrifying acts in exchange for money.
The depths of depravity didn’t end there. Investigators found shocking online chats where Mr. Arnon solicited other males to have sex with his daughter. Additionally, evidence was unearthed showing he had lured a 15-year-old girl into sending nude photos, subsequently using these images to extort 5,000 baht.
