In Samut Prakan, a motorcycle delivery driver contacted the police after discovering that a package he was transporting contained an illegal sachet of ketamine. The incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday, when the driver received a delivery request through his employer’s service system. The client asked him to pick up a package from Soi Si Dan 5 in tambon Samrong Nua, Muang district.
For confidentiality reasons, authorities did not disclose the name of the delivery driver. The customer provided him with the package, stating it contained an empty mobile phone box, and asked for it to be delivered to a condominium in the Ramkhamhaeng area, roughly 20 kilometers away. The customer paid the driver 200 baht, which was reportedly 40-50 baht more than the average fee for deliveries.
Feeling suspicious about the package, the driver decided to stop at a petrol station and inspect its contents. Upon opening the box, he found a sachet of ketamine hidden within. Fearful of being apprehended with the illicit substance at a checkpoint, the driver immediately informed the authorities.
After the discovery, the driver went to the Samrong Nua police station for questioning. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation in an attempt to identify and locate the sender of the package.
