In addition, residents of Pattaya are gathering to celebrate the annual Vegetarian Festival and enjoy free vegetarian meals. The festival is also taking place in Phuket. The Sawang Boriboon Foundation in the Naklua sub-district of the Bang Lamung District is providing free, scrumptious vegetarian meals to everyone from tonight through October 5th. The Sawang Boriboon is an organization devoted to Thai and Chinese culture. It can simultaneously serve meals to up to 300 individuals. People are able to dine there during the following three unique sessions: It will be held between 8.30 and 9.30 in the morning, and lunch will be served between 12 and 1.30. Evening sessions are from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On its Facebook page, the organization has posted photos of people eating free meals with grins on their faces. The foundation has assigned one part of seating for guests wearing all-white attire and another portion for guests not wearing all-white attire. The foundation continues to adopt the precautions stated in Covid-19, such as requiring the use of face masks and keeping a social distance between tablemates.
On its Facebook profile, the location is indicated as 454 Moo 4, Naklua Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Pattaya, Chonburi Province, Thailand. Phuket is currently hosting Thailand’s largest and most renowned Vegetarian Festival, which is still going strong. Monday marked the event’s opening ceremony, which was attended by inhabitants of Yaowarat and officials from Chinese shrines in the surrounding area.
Residents of the region joined in the procession by donning white clothing and hoisting yellow banners representing vegetarianism. Approximately 1,790 individual servings of vegan stir-fry noodles were distributed. Additionally, tourists usually attend the festival to participate in the festivities. Each day of the celebration, spirit mediums are stationed at various locations throughout the grounds to channel the gods and spirits and give blessings. All local individuals, including those who are merely passing through, are invited to stop and accept blessings.
