Plan B Media’s Patriotic #TruthFromThailand Campaign Shines in Times Square

Beaming from New York City’s iconic Times Square, Plan B Media has made an impressive mark with their #TruthFromThailand billboard, a notable feat that caught fire across Thai social media like a summer blaze. Not just content with New York fame, the company splashed the Thai national flag across its whopping 19,775 screens down in Thailand. Amidst ongoing border tensions, this visual display aimed to uplift the spirits of Thai soldiers holding the line. The X account @Gossip_Gun, on July 29, shared an eye-catching video showcasing the Times Square billboard, proudly planted atop a nearby building, with a caption brimming with national pride: “Found #TruthFromThailand in the middle of Times Square, NY. We announce this to the world!”

The video revealed the hashtag #TruthFromThailand prominently displayed beside the Thai national flag, blazing from the billboard scrupulously placed atop the urban landscape. Behind it, another even grander LED screen flaunted the Thai colors, creating a visual spectacle that left Thai netizens abuzz with curiosity over who could possibly bankroll such prime advertising real estate. Comments and admiration flowed like a river for those behind this patriotic show of support. Reveales followed suit as Plan B Media’s official Facebook page identified both the company and its founder, Palin “B” Lojanagosin, as the masterminds behind the impactful displays in Times Square.

In a tribute to bravery and sacrifice, Plan B Media dedicated these billboards to the Thai soldiers who heroically put their lives on the line in the arduous Thai-Cambodian border dispute. The company’s Facebook post, adorned with vibrant images of the billboards, delivered a heartfelt message, “Plan B pays tribute to the bravery of the Thai soldiers who sacrificed their lives to courageously protect Thai territory during the incident at the Thai-Cambodian border. We also send our heartfelt support to the Thai military and the families of all the heroes. Your sacrifice will forever remain in the hearts of the Thai people. #TruthFromThailand #ThailandLovesPeaceButWillNotCowerInWar.”

This overseas extravaganza was just part of Plan B’s grand strategy. Simultaneously, back in Thailand, their domestic campaign orchestrated a unified show of respect by exhibiting the Thai national flag on every screen they operated across the nation. Their Facebook post rumbled out an invitation: “We invite all Thais to honour and remember the bravery of our heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect our homeland. At 8am and 6pm, during the national anthem, Plan B will display the Thai national flag across more than 19,775 media screens nationwide as a symbol of respect.”

The campaign ignited social media, capturing the admiration of Thai netizens and celebrities alike. Particularly vocal was Chuwit Kamolvisit, a prominent political activist, who praised Palin’s audacious move. His post highlighted an electrifying image of the Times Square billboard while singing the accolades of the young, visionary entrepreneur, “The person who raised the Thai tricolour flag on the billboard is the owner of the most expensive billboard concession in New York. He is the young owner of Plan B. His name is B, Palin Lojanagosin. I know him as a young businessman with big dreams who successfully took his company public, a truly commendable achievement. But what’s even more admirable is his patriotism. He displayed the Thai national flag on an LED screen that costs 3 million baht per month to rent, showing this image for one minute every hour. He understands the importance of communicating the truth to the world, especially given how untrustworthy the Cambodians have proven to be. Who else has the courage he does?”

Amidst the flurry of news from Thailand, tales of border tensions, and ground-pounding drones, this bold advertising campaign emerges as a stirring symbol of unity, resilience, and national pride. As the digital flags continue to wave, the message remains clear — from the vibrant streets of Bangkok to the bustling heart of Times Square — the spirit of Thailand shines bright.

The intriguing endeavor by Plan B Media highlights not only the entrepreneurial spirit of its leaders but also serves as a testament to the indomitable love for the homeland that fuels such dazzling displays of patriotism. Through LED screens and social media threads, they have truly managed to communicate the #TruthFromThailand across miles and minds, proving that when it comes to national pride, distance is but a number.

I think it’s inspiring to see such a bold statement of national pride in Times Square. Way to go, Thailand!

    • Mike J. July 31, 2025

Sure, but isn’t it a bit much to spend so much on a billboard? 3 million baht a month seems steep.

      • Emma Chang July 31, 2025

It’s a lot, but it makes a powerful statement. Sometimes you have to go big to get noticed!

      • Sophie L. July 31, 2025

True, but think of it as an investment in national morale. It’s not just a billboard; it’s a symbol.

  2. Alex_Trekker July 31, 2025

The campaign is an interesting way to bring international attention to the border tensions. PR move or genuine support?

    • PoliticalPundit123 July 31, 2025

Definitely both. It underscores tensions while elevating national pride.

  3. Monique D. July 31, 2025

Why isn’t this money being spent on humanitarian aid instead? Aren’t there more pressing issues?

    • TOPO July 31, 2025

That’s a good point, but communication and visibility are also important in times of conflict.

  4. Leo Liu July 31, 2025

Palin’s an impressive entrepreneur, but I worry this sets a precedent where national pride gets commercialized.

    • Jane H July 31, 2025

As long as it remains genuine and for a good cause, maybe it’s okay. Let’s not be cynical.

    • Leo Liu July 31, 2025

Fair point, Jane. I just hope it doesn’t become more about business than the message.

  5. Peter Parker July 31, 2025

I don’t really get why the USA needs to see this. It feels a bit out of place in Times Square.

    • SmartAlex July 31, 2025

Global awareness helps leverage international pressure. Makes perfect sense.

    • Peter Parker July 31, 2025

I suppose, but wouldn’t that be more effective via political channels than billboards?

I love the idea of global influence. One city, two birds: visibility for Thailand and a reminder of unity!

As a Thai, it fills me with pride to see our flag displayed so prominently. Proud moment for us all.

Chuwit Kamolvisit seems to be pushing a propaganda narrative. This is classic soft power play.

    • KChang July 31, 2025

Isn’t all national promotion propaganda in a sense? It’s about perspective.

  9. Sammy J July 31, 2025

If the goal was to get people talking, mission accomplished. I respect the hustle.

  10. Victoria H July 31, 2025

Great, but let’s make sure the voices of the actual soldiers and affected families are heard too.

  11. TechieGuy July 31, 2025

Using technology to convey patriotism is cool but could they have used it to bridge peace instead?

    • Sandra K July 31, 2025

Bridging peace is complicated, but yes, more technology in diplomatic efforts would be beneficial.

  12. Earthling July 31, 2025

It’s a powerful use of media, no doubt about it. The real question is, will it yield any results?

  13. Patel09 July 31, 2025

Everyone is missing the point – this is advertising at its finest! It’s reaching beyond borders.

Spectacles are remembered. If it sticks in memory, maybe it’ll fulfill its purpose.
