The monsoon season is already well started in Thailand, so as a welcome gift to the island, each guest was given a waterproof rucksack. On the day of the Vietnamese flag carrier’s inaugural flight to Phuket, the auditing firm Deloitte Vietnam published a report that raised questions about the airline’s capacity to continue operations. The tourists will take part in activities organized by the Phuket Office of the Thailand Tourism Authority while they are there. Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket International Airport will be connected every Thursday by a nonstop flight. In addition, the airline has already begun discussing measures to cancel the purchase of four Boeing B787 and Airbus A320 aircraft with suppliers. Vietnam Airlines’ first flight from Ho Chi Minh City landed at Phuket International Airport with 161 people on board. There aren’t any tickets available for purchase on this route at the moment on the soon-to-be-updated Vietnam Airlines website. The passengers of flight VN9625 were warmly welcomed by Monchai Tanod, the director of Phuket Airport, and Kanyarat Suthipatanakit, the deputy director of Phuket Airport’s Business Support Line. Vietnam Airlines’ short-term debt is 36.4 trillion Vietnamese dong ($1.53 billion) greater than its short-term assets, according to the Deloitte performance evaluation. The new direct route between Phuket and the biggest city in Vietnam is expected to boost travel between the two countries. The flight across the Gulf of Thailand covers 962 kilometers between takeoff and landing in less than 1 hour and 27 minutes.
