Mae U-Kor Subdistrict’s Administrative head, Mr Thara Chom-Samrong-Lert, expressed his delight at the delightful spectacle presented by the sunflowers on Doi Mae U-Kor mountain. Nestled in the Mae U-Kor Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province, the resplendent blooms cascade over the vast hillside area at an elevation of more than 1,600 meters. Their radiant beauty is a magnet, drawing in nearly 400 onlookers day by day.

Tourists flock to this slice of paradise, opting either for a quick day trip or an unhurried overnight experience at the Sunflower Fields National Park. Recognised by TAT as the largest and most exquisite wildflower field in the country, it’s a destination marked as ‘not-to-miss’. Chase the blooms till the cold month of December draws to a close to experience this unique floral display.

Expectations from Khun Yuam District ride high as they look toward receiving over 100,000 visitors. A plethora of measures have been laid out to ensure the utmost comfort and safety for every person stepping foot in this lovely region. Delight in several trails that run through the fields, each offering a plethora of photogenic spots. Early morning or evening trips are ideal, as the cooler temperatures make for a more comfortable journey – not to mention the chance to be awed by the sea of mist, or the striking sunrise or sunset.

Doi Mae U-Kor promises more than just an unforgettable sight of sunflower bloom this year. The field’s scenic setting includes a colourful array of diverse trees and flowers, creating a vivid tapestry of natural beauty that will leave you spellbound, reports KhaoSod.

Located just 25 kilometres from Khun Yuam District, the Doi Mae U-Kor Mexican sunflower field has the distinction of being the largest in Thailand. It also proudly stands as one of the most famed natural tourist spots in Mae Hong Son Province. From mid-November to late December, it’s open for wide-eyed visitors.
