The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently showcased 20 exceptional wellness itineraries designed to appeal to wellness travelers from all corners of the world. The unveiling occurred during the Thailand Wellness Business seminar, an event targeting health and wellness providers with the goal of inspiring them to upgrade their services to meet the demands of international wellness tourists. One of the seminar’s main attractions was a wellness itineraries contest, which garnered significant interest and demonstrated the potential of this growing tourism sector.
In line with the Thai Government’s Thailand Wellness Economic Corridor (TWC) strategy, the Thailand Wellness Business Make Over campaign seeks to promote high-value health and wellness tourism, attracting wellness aficionados from across the globe. TAT is spearheading this initiative to strengthen the competitiveness of Thai health and wellness providers, thereby fostering their capacity to attract international clients.
Of the 20 featured programs, three were awarded the “BEST 3 PROGRAM AWARDS” for Wellness Tourism. These top offerings are A Dream of Lanna Wellness by Fah Lanna Spa Chiang Mai, The Wellcation Experience by Varana Krabi, and The VLCC Holistic Body & Mind Detox Ritual by VLCC Clinic Cha-Am Hua-Hin. Additionally, 12 of the remaining Outstanding Program selections are part of a well-rounded itinerary, providing unique experiences from a range of establishments including Aonang Princeville Villa Resort & Spa, Tubkaak Krabi, Divana Scentuara Spa, The Athenee Spa, Wellness Sala, Play La Ploen, Amaravati Wellness Center and Origan Spa, Abhaibhubejhr Day Spa, Natural Wing Health Spa & Resort, Panacee Wellness Khao Yai, U Spa Chiangmai, Rarinjinda Wellness Spa Resort, and Bandara Spa.
Mr. Apichai Chatchalermkit, the Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, expressed his excitement about the innovative wellness program offerings created during the Make Over workshop. He believes these programs embody TAT’s Meaningful Wellness concept, which is the core strategy for crafting enticing wellness experiences this year. As part of their prizes, all winning programs will be featured and endorsed at TAT’s marketing events throughout the year. This exposure will undoubtedly introduce a fresh and valuable dimension to the wellness tourism scene, further enticing wellness enthusiasts from around the world to explore the beauty and rejuvenation Thailand has to offer.
