In the heart of Thailand, within the prominently industrial province of Nakhon Nayok, an unsettling scene unfolded. A local man, identified as Ratcharot Kongsawat, 39, was found lifeless, disturbingly close to a roadside canal. Situated on an unfamiliarly quiet Bypass Road, his body was stumbled upon by his relatives who had been desperately seeking his whereabouts. The grim details emerged summoning the presence of officers from the Pak Plee Police Station who arrived promptly and proceeded to cordon off the area for investigation.
Not far from the scene, at around a dismal distance of about 30 metres, a bronze Toyota sedan with the registration number กต 4062 came to light. Its solitary parking by the road injected shivers into the already eerie air that filled the surrounding.
The sight of the prime yet lifeless body of Ratcharot lying ambiguously near the canal was heart-wrenching. A careful inspection by the officers on duty did not reveal any immediate physical signs of a struggle or skirmish. To delve into the enigma surrounding the unfamiliar death, Ratcharot’s body was carefully moved to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Medical Centre. Here a thoroughly detailed post-mortem examination was to be conducted in an effort to unravel the truth.
The relatives of Ratcharot shared a series of events that they believed led to this tragic incident. As per them, Ratcharot and his beloved had been entangled in a heated argument which saw her absconding. A distressed Ratcharot ventured off to Pathum Thani, a bustling province in central Thailand, to find her but was met with no success. He thus intended to return to his home in Prachin Buri province.
However, his return was ominously delayed, prompting his anxious family to initiate a detailed and determined search. The discovery of his unaccompanied vehicle kindled their worst fears. An intense search unfolded which reluctantly led them to his lifeless body by the canal.
Local residents feeding the ThaiRath with details mentioned a disturbance by howling dogs around the quietude of 4am. They brought attention to the Bypass Road, calling it a relatively new development in the area, laying desolate through the night.
This heart-wrenching incident fuelled a sense of déjà vu, throwing back to an eerily similar event from earlier on in the year. Yet another Thai local was found lifeless within a residential structure which had recently switched ownership through an auction. The inexplicable circumstances of his death conjured a haunting mystery, as no signs of struggle or physical altercation could be traced within the premises. Another perplexing case involved a man found lifeless under a broken election banner following a recent release from prison, in Nakhon Ratchasima province. However, the concrete reasons behind these seemingly linked incidents have largely remained undisclosed and under investigation.
