Primus Group has unveiled an exciting expansion of its automobile division, with a focus on the luxury brand ZEEKR under the newly minted entity, ZEEKR PRIMUS. This grand venture kicks off with a premium showroom in the bustling Ratchaphruek area, designed to offer top-tier services aimed at delivering unparalleled experiences. Alongside the showroom, the ZEEKR PRIMUS POP-UP STORE promises to be a highlight, inviting car enthusiasts to discover and test drive the new ZEEKR X. Exclusive deals await at The Mall Lifestore Bang Khae starting from 1 August 2024.

According to Nattavuth Tangkaravakoon, President of Primus Group, the last two years have provided a golden opportunity within Thailand’s burgeoning automobile sector, especially in the Electric Vehicle (EV) market. Numerous new brands from China are eyeing Thailand as a potential hub. With this foresight, Primus Group is seizing the chance to expand into the automobile distribution sector. Building on their success in representing Mercedes-Benz, they are further investing to enhance their competitive edge and offer more choices to Thai consumers.

In this ambitious expansion, Primus Group has teamed up with ZEEKR Thailand and will serve as the official distributor under the banner of Primus Prestige Co., Ltd., otherwise known as ZEEKR PRIMUS. Plans are underway for a sprawling showroom and service center covering four rai on Ratchaphruek Rd. This area boasts a thriving community and is strategically connected to several key commuting networks. The service center is expected to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2025, offering convenient, all-encompassing services for ZEEKR customers.

ZEEKR, a subsidiary of the globally renowned GEELY HOLDING GROUP, is celebrated for its strong capabilities in research and development, car manufacturing, and extensive global networks. Notably, ZEEKR’s premium-luxury EVs are designed with a customer-centric approach, enhancing every interaction with luxury and sophistication. This aligns seamlessly with Primus Group’s vision of achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction across all facets.

“This collaboration with an industry leader like ZEEKR marks a significant milestone for Primus Group,” said Nattavuth. “It strengthens our footing in the automobile sector and paves the way for robust, sustainable growth.”

Jirapol Rujivipat, Managing Director of Primus Group, highlighted the company’s established reputation in the luxury automobile dealership business. Known for their success with Mercedes-Benz, Primus Group prides itself on a customer-centric approach that permeates all aspects of their operations. With a strategy built around delivering exceptional customer experiences and satisfaction through comprehensive luxury services and top-notch personnel, they have consistently achieved high customer satisfaction scores and sales growth year after year.

This tried-and-true approach will be integrated into ZEEKR PRIMUS’ DNA, ensuring that customers receive the best possible experience at every turn.

In the first phase of this initiative, Primus Group plans to support ZEEKR customers through a structured work plan, which includes:

  • Allocating space for the ZEEKR PRIMUS POP-UP STORE on the 1st floor in front of B2S at The Mall Lifestore, Bang Khae, officially opened on 23 July.
  • A temporary showroom and service center on Ratchaphruek Road to display ZEEKR cars and provide after-sales services, opening by mid-August 2024.
  • A permanent, expansive showroom and full-service center covering over four rai in the Ratchaphruek area, expected to start operations in March 2025.

In celebration of this milestone, ZEEKR PRIMUS is offering the chance to own the latest ZEEKR model, the ZEEKR X. This compact EV SUV boasts dual motor power of 428 horsepower, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and a maximum driving range of 540 km per full charge. It is equipped with complete comfort and safety features that meet EURO NCAP standards and is available in two models: the STANDARD RWD, priced at 1,199,000 baht, and the FLAGSHIP AWD, priced at 1,349,000 baht.

Why is Primus Group investing so much in EVs when the market isn’t even that established in Thailand?

    • Marie Lopez August 14, 2024

Actually, Thailand is rapidly growing in the EV market! This seems like a strategic move to me.

      • JohnDoe123 August 14, 2024

I still think they are putting too much faith in this market. What if it doesn’t pay off?

      • TechEnthusiast August 14, 2024

Even if the EV market isn’t booming right now, getting in early could ensure Primus Group reaps the rewards when it does take off.

Plus, this aligns with global trends toward sustainable energy. It’s a smart, futuristic investment.

I don’t trust Chinese brands, even if they’re premium. Are ZEEKR cars safe?

    • AutomobileHistorian August 14, 2024

Actually, ZEEKR EVs meet EURO NCAP standards, which are some of the most stringent safety requirements globally. They’re quite reputable.

    • PrimusFan777 August 14, 2024

Exactly. This isn’t just any Chinese brand; it’s part of Geely, which owns Volvo. They know what they’re doing.

  3. GreenWarrior August 14, 2024

This is fantastic news! More EVs mean less pollution and a step toward a greener planet.

    • SkepticalSam August 14, 2024

But what about the environmental toll of battery production? It’s not all green, you know.

      • GreenWarrior August 14, 2024

True, battery production has its downsides, but overall, EVs have a smaller carbon footprint than traditional cars. Plus, improvements are being made constantly.

  4. Rick August 14, 2024

Those prices are pretty steep! Who’s buying luxury EVs in Thailand?

    • Alex P. August 14, 2024

Actually, there’s a growing upper middle class in Thailand that can afford luxury items, including cars.

    • WealthyThai August 14, 2024

Exactly, and don’t forget about all the expats and wealthy business owners. There’s definitely a market.

  5. Jane Doe August 14, 2024

Primus Group has a solid reputation with Mercedes-Benz. I think they’ll do just fine with ZEEKR.

  6. EcoLover August 14, 2024

Can’t wait to test drive the ZEEKR X! Those specs sound amazing.

    • OldSchoolDriver August 14, 2024

I’ve always preferred the vroom of a traditional engine. Not sold on these ‘whisper-quiet’ EVs.

    • ElectricDreams August 14, 2024

Once you try an EV, you’ll never go back. Instant torque, no emissions, and much cheaper fuel costs!

  7. Tom Nguyen August 14, 2024

I’m curious to see if the pop-up store concept catches on. It’s a novel approach.

    • Elena Green August 14, 2024

Pop-up stores are a great way to build buzz without a huge upfront investment. Smart move by Primus Group.

  8. Critic123 August 14, 2024

Just another way for big companies to make more money off clueless consumers.

    • Sophia H. August 14, 2024

Or it’s a way to offer consumers more choices and push the industry forward. Depends on how you look at it.

  9. Sara Lee August 14, 2024

Thailand definitely needs more EV infrastructure. This could be a game changer.

    • Maxwell August 14, 2024

Absolutely, and with Primus’s reputation, they could set a high standard for other companies to follow.

  10. Bob C. August 14, 2024

I’ve never heard of ZEEKR before. Can anyone share their experiences with the brand?

  11. David Stevenson August 14, 2024

I think it’s admirable they’re offering such extensive warranties and financing options.

    • SkepticalSue August 14, 2024

Maybe, but sometimes extensive warranties are just a way to cover for potential issues. Be cautious.

  12. Chadwick August 14, 2024

I hope the service center lives up to the hype. Customer service often gets overlooked.

  13. TechGuru August 14, 2024

ZEEKR’s tech integration is supposed to be top-notch. This could set new standards for other EV brands.

    • LudditeLarry August 14, 2024

Tech is overrated. Just more things to go wrong.

    • TechGuru August 14, 2024

Modern tech also means fewer breakdowns and problems. Old tech was way more prone to failure.

  14. Evelyn K. August 14, 2024

I’m excited about the ZEEKR X. Dual motors with 428 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds? Incredible!

    • GearHeadTom August 14, 2024

Specs sound great on paper, but let’s see how it performs in real-world conditions.
