Current theme parks are being refurbished to attract tourists, while local and international companies are constructing new attractions. Covid-19 destroyed entertainment businesses. They expect billions of tourists during Thailand’s busy season. After a rained-out third quarter, theme parks and water parks in Thailand are investing in a flood of new attractions for the fourth quarter.
Next projects are listed:
PATTAYA
The attraction plans global advertising in 80 countries to achieve 1 million guests every year. Thai theme parks are opening soon, including Aquaverse. Aquaverse will premiere in Pattaya on October 12 because of its closeness to U-Tapao Airport and high-speed trains.
Columbia Pictures and Amazon Falls build 35 rai in Pattaya. If Pattaya’s tourism recovers to pre-pandemic levels of 20 million visitors per year, a second phase will expand indoor activities. Pattaya’s theme park is expected to spawn movie and TV show ripoffs. Hotel Transylvania, Jumanji, Surf’s Up, and Ghostbusters-themed areas have unique waterslides and wet activities. The attraction will have water elements, land attractions, themed zones and restaurants, entertainment and live events, and special sets and merchandise.
Bangkok World
The new park intends to attract 1.5-2 million tourists annually. More than 500 shops will participate in Thailand’s One Tambon, One Product program.
Side-by-side theme parks will have restaurants, street food, cultural performances, and dinner theatre. Bangkok World opens November 25 near Siam Amazing Park. The 70-rai, 3-billion-baht entertainment complex will resemble a mall.
PHUKET CARNIVAL
Carnival Magic theme park committed 6.6 billion baht to combine Thai carnival heritage with modern technology. The park is on a 100-rai plot of land near Kamala Beach, next to Phuket FantaSea, which will be upgraded when tourism improves.
Next year they want 2 million guests, 70% of them foreigners. Safari World, Thailand’s largest theme park operator, will open Carnival Magic on September 20.

Theme parks open brand-new offerings prior to the peak season
