BeLuThai organized the eagerly awaited Gala Dinner, themed “When Magic Happens,” on June 7th, 2024, at the Conrad Bangkok. This prestigious affair combined elegance, networking, and celebration into a single enchanting evening that guests will remember for years to come.

As the night unfolded, attendees were treated to a gastronomic journey, savoring a variety of exquisite dishes paired with the finest Belgian beer and Luxembourg wine. This culinary fusion beautifully showcased the rich cultural tapestry of these three diverse countries, tickling taste buds and sparking conversations.

The evening’s magic was further amplified by inspiring speeches from distinguished guests. BeLuThai President, Mrs. Siriporn Wuthilaohaphan, set the tone with her welcoming address. This was followed by enlightening words from the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Patrick Hemmer, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Thailand, H.E. Mrs. Sibille de Cartier d’Yves.

Beyond the delightful dining and dynamic speeches, the Gala featured an engaging session with Ms. Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj (Dlite), a Thai equestrian athlete who has qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Her presence added a touch of athletic inspiration to the magical night.

The enchantment continued with a mesmerizing performance titled “The Power of Love: When Magic Happens,” directed by the creative genius Mr. Narong Ketkaew, Creative Director of Narong Bridal. The show captured the essence of the evening, blending artistry and emotion seamlessly.

The event also recognized style icons among the attendees. The magical awards for the best-dressed went to Saraphun Wongngernyuang and Sutheesak Pakdeetewa (Joe), adding a fashionable flair to the night.

BeLuThai extends heartfelt thanks to our Diamond Sponsors: Solvay Asia Pacific, Katoen Natie, SDesigns, Royal Botania, Maison Fr6, Sarens, Brewberry, and Blue Elephant Restaurant & Cooking School. We are deeply grateful to our Platinum Sponsors: INVE Aquaculture and Full Well Freight. Our sincere gratitude also goes to our Gold Sponsors: Umicore Group, Faber Flags Asia, Gallothai, Sukhothai Inter Law, and BNP Paribas.

Special mention must be made of Solvay Group and Katoen Natie for generously sponsoring the backdrops of the Gala Dinner. Created by Faber Flags Asia, these backdrops were made from eco-friendly, polyester-based fabrics produced from recycled PET bottles. In a sustainable twist, these backdrops were repurposed post-event into “after event bags” in collaboration with the Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF), generating funds to provide medical care and education to underprivileged children.

The enchantment didn’t end there. The night also featured a thrilling lucky draw, with all proceeds benefiting the Foundation for Slum Child Care and the Thai Child Development Foundation. The lucky draw featured prizes generously sponsored by Maison Fr6, Blue Elephant Cooking School and Restaurant, BNH Hospital, Agoda, The Vintage Club, Hybrid Restaurant and Wine Bar, Diamond Resort Phuket, Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Siri Sala, Serenity Wines, Amari Bangkok, Conrad Bangkok, O’right, and Bumrungrad International Hospital. In-kind sponsors included Faber Flags Asia, Gallothai, Solvay, SDesigns, Winson Capital, Narong Bridal, Maxwin, Lotus Bakeries, Regus, and Italasia.

Wow, this sounds like such a fancy event! Wish I could have been there to enjoy all that delicious food and wine!

    • Jane D. June 14, 2024

Definitely a luxurious affair, but what’s the point of all this opulence? There are so many more important issues in the world.

      • grower134 June 14, 2024

True, but I think events like this also bring people together and can raise funds for good causes. It’s not all bad!

    • Marco June 14, 2024

I agree with Jane D. It’s just a bunch of elites patting each other on the back.

  2. Larry Davis June 14, 2024

How amazing that they repurposed the event backdrops into bags for charity! That’s a sustainable practice worth celebrating.

    • Steve H. June 14, 2024

Yeah, but how much good can a few recycled bags really do? It seems like a token gesture to me.

      • Larry Davis June 14, 2024

Every little bit helps. Small actions can lead to bigger changes over time.

    • Stephanie June 14, 2024

But at least it’s a step in the right direction. Encouraging sustainability at high-profile events can set a good example for others.

  3. Hanna B. June 14, 2024

I love that they included an athlete like Janakabhorn Karunayadhaj in the event. Her story is so inspiring!

    • Paul M. June 14, 2024

It’s nice, but I’m skeptical. Sometimes these ‘inspirational’ guests are just for show.

    • grower134 June 14, 2024

I think it’s great! It adds a different dimension to the event and motivates people.

  4. Rose June 14, 2024

Amazing to see such a level of support from sponsors. Shows how much businesses are willing to invest in community and culture.

    • Critic4Life June 14, 2024

Or it shows how much they want to improve their public image and get tax write-offs.

      • Joe June 14, 2024

Even if they gain something from it, the community benefits too. It’s a win-win.

  6. Kaitlyn R. June 14, 2024

The lucky draw sounds like it was so much fun! A great way to raise money for those foundations.

  7. Ben T. June 14, 2024

Gala dinners like these might look glamorous, but they’re really just about networking. It’s all business.

  8. artist_77 June 14, 2024

Kudos to Narong Ketkaew for directing such an emotional performance. His work never fails to impress.

    • Ava June 14, 2024

Agreed! His artistry truly brings a unique touch to any event.

  9. Richard June 14, 2024

All these speeches must have been so boring. I bet most people just came for the food and wine.

    • Linda V. June 14, 2024

Not necessarily. Some speeches can be really engaging and offer insightful perspectives.

    • Bea June 14, 2024

I’ve been to events like this and honestly, the speeches can be a highlight if the speakers are good.

  10. Dave June 14, 2024

Surprised to see so many big names supporting a relatively small event in Bangkok. Shows the global connections at play.

    • Tara M. June 14, 2024

Bangkok is a big deal in the business world, and these kinds of events highlight its importance.

      • Dave June 14, 2024

Fair point. Cities like Bangkok deserve recognition for their contributions.

  11. Jasmine June 14, 2024

It’s great that proceeds from the lucky draw benefit such important foundations. More gala events should do this.

  12. Chris P. June 14, 2024

I wonder if the money raised really makes a significant impact. It’s easy to say you’re helping out.

  13. Sam June 14, 2024

I’ve seen events like this before. They can raise huge amounts of money for charity, which does make a difference!

  14. Zara June 14, 2024

As much fun as it sounds, these types of events are often exclusionary. Not everyone has the chance to attend.

  15. John June 14, 2024

True, but they serve a purpose in bringing together influential figures who can generate support and resources for causes.

  16. Chloe June 14, 2024

All the best-dressed awards seem a bit superficial, though. Why focus so much on appearances?

    • Tom June 14, 2024

It’s all part of the glamour and allure of the event. People enjoy dressing up and being recognized for it.

    • Sarah L. June 14, 2024

It’s a way to add fun to the evening. Plus, those who enjoy fashion get to shine.

  17. Matt June 14, 2024

Kudos to Solvay and Katoen Natie for their eco-friendly contributions. It’s great to see companies taking sustainability seriously.
