In this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards presented by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine, the country of Thailand was selected as the third best country in the world to go to. The list of the top 48 countries was dominated by European nations, with Thailand and Singapore being the only Southeast Asian countries to crack the top 10.

The Top 10 Countries in the World in 2022 are: 1. Portugal (91.22), 2. Japan (91.17), 3. Thailand (90.46), 4. Singapore (90.09), and 5. India (90.01). 6. Greece (89.79), 7. Denmark (89.62), 8. The United Kingdom (89.12), 9. Italy (89.12), and 10. New Zealand (89.01).
In a separate poll titled “Best Cities In The World To Travel To,” readers selected Bangkok as the fourth best city in the world to visit.

Mexico’s San Miguel de Allende came in first with a score of 92.94, followed by Singapore with 89.49, Victoria, Canada with 89.46, Bangkok, Thailand with 89.36, San Sebastian, Spain with 89.15, Tokyo, Japan with 88.32, Merida, Mexico with 88.30, Quebec City, Canada with 88.29, Cape Town, South Africa with 88.27, and Mumbai, India with 88.27.
