Oman’s low-cost carrier, SalamAir, will launch three weekly direct flights between Muscat and Bangkok on the 18th of December. Flights to Bangkok are scheduled to depart Muscat on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, and return on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Bangkok is SalamAir’s secondary destination in Thailand, behind Phuket. According to Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, the low-cost airline is expanding its Southeast Asian operations by launching a new flight to Bangkok. This route has experienced a considerable increase in demand for both outbound and incoming flights. Traveling to Bangkok for vacation, shopping, or medical tourism is convenient for Oman residents as well as those wishing to connect flights.
Bangkok remains one of the most popular tourist destinations for residents of the Sultanate of Oman and foreigners. We are ecstatic to announce the commencement of flights between Muscat and Bangkok, as this will provide our clients with the most cost-effective offering available. This will allow customers to experience greater freedom, decrease overall travel costs due to our reasonable fares, and take advantage of optional supplementary services. The flights will enhance the number of tourists, economic links, and business opportunities between Oman and Thailand. The expansion of the airline’s route network is essential to the company’s strategy, which seeks to “establish a strong pan-international footprint by connecting an increasing number of destinations along new sectors.” The airline, whose fleet consists of six A320neo and four A321neo aircraft, believes Bangkok will appeal to a broad mix of vacationers with a thirst for adventure. The journey from Muscat to Bangkok typically takes roughly six hours. Due to the high demand for travel to unique tourist destinations like Bangkok, SalamAir is eager to welcome customers onboard these new flights as soon as possible. Additionally, SalamAir is happy for travellers to visit and enjoy Muscat. Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman, is home to some of the country’s most spectacular beaches, mountains, and deserts, as well as some of its most stunning mosques, old forts, museums, entertainment venues, and beautiful locations. The city of Muscat abounds with culture. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Oman is an awe-inspiring example of contemporary Islamic architecture. Traditional Omani products like as khanjars, kummahs, shawls, and frankincense, among others, can be obtained at the shops housed within the Muttrah Souq market’s convoluted maze of little alleyways. This market is about 200 years old and a famous tourist destination. Today, the Sultanate of Oman announced that nonstop flights between Muscat and Bangkok will commence in the near future.
