Tomorrow, in the heart of Bangkok, an assembly of passionate Muslims from the southern region of Thailand intend to make their voices heard outside the Israeli embassy. Their intentions? To convey their thoughts and sentiments regarding the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Interestingly, they assert that their move is primarily aimed at fostering a atmosphere of peace and preventing any escalation in the hostility between Israelis and Palestinians.

This ambitious endeavor was announced by native Phatthalung, Baitat Samansathitkhun, who further disclosed that these advocates of peace from the South would be supported by their Muslim brothers and sisters living in Bangkok. Nomads rallying for peace will emerge from various southern provinces such as Satun, Songkhla, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Trang, Phuket, Krabi, and Phangnga, traveling in buses or their own private vehicles.

Donmit Waeowanchit, another ardent southern Muslim, disclosed that, besides submitting a petition to the Israeli embassy, opinions will be aired through stirring speeches that emphasize the cruelty and violence witnessed through media coverages. The gathering will be further emboldened by the presence of political activists Jatuporn Prompan and Nititorn Lamlua, renowned for their electrifying energy.

Unnamed sources have shared that with the unrelenting and escalating Israel-Hamas war, there is a rising global sentiment of empathy towards the Palestinians. In sync with such sentiments, armed Islamic forces in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq are supposedly on standby to enter the fray. However, this information is yet to be confirmed.

Wisut Binlate, a respected member of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, expressed a rather empathetic understanding of the likely discomfort Thai security officials might feel concerning the approaching assembly. Nevertheless, he believes that it’s crucial for authorities to understand that these Muslims are merely expressing their sentiments against the grim savagery levelled at civilians, children, women, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip – a brutal reality brought to them through news channels.

Wisut drew attention to the unfortunate incident at the al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City where a shocking blast claimed hundreds of lives. This devastating event drove Thai Muslims to the brink, instilling in them an immediate need to advocate for the protection of innocent lives from such atrocities, including Thai nationals caught in the crossfire of this conflict.

In his closing note, he underscored that Thailand’s reputation should be that of a nation which adorns the fabric of sound moral standards and respects human rights, showing zero tolerance towards war criminals. He asserts that it is the responsibility of everyone, to protect this image and ensure it remains untarnished.
