The Immigration Bureau is rolling up its sleeves, busy enhancing its computer programming and introducing a slew of amended regulations, to make automatic processing channels available for a wider spectrum of international travelers. And the good news is, the department is on track to roll out these smart, swift channels beginning on the blessed date of December 15th. You heard that date right!
So, why this quantum leap in airport management? Well, this isn’t just about shaving off precious minutes from your pre-flight check-in procedure. It’s also about spiking the efficiency of processing outbound travelers. Thanks to the innovative, state-of-the-art facilities, the airport anticipates a significant jump in the capacity for processing outbound travellers – leaping from a modest 5,000 travellers per hour to a whopping 12,000. Now, that’s what we call thrice the power and triple the fun, isn’t it?
But the revolution doesn’t stop at Suvarnabhumi Airport, folks! According to Pol Maj Gen Choengron, the illustrious Airports of Thailand is outlining plans to bolster more automatic channels at other notable busy hubs of the country, namely Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports. The holistic benefits of this move? An accelerated processing of inbound travelers, as immigration officers can then be reassigned to other pressing areas – making your arrival into the splendid country of Thailand as smooth as a silken pad Thai noodle.
