In recent years, there has been a rise in the number of tourists traveling to explore the flower-rich regions of Thailand. Because there are so many pink lotuses, the lake and swamp of Bueng Boraphet, which is located in the northern region of the province of Nakhon Sawan, are becoming increasingly alluring to visitors. The region of Bueng Boraphet which is today home to a thriving lotus industry spans more than 100 rai. Those who have an interest in flora may contract the services of a private boat operator in order to have a better look at the lotuses. Many people make the journey to the province of Mae Hong Son during this time of year in order to witness the golden flowers that bloom seasonally there. They are mostly going to the Khun Yuam district so that they can witness the stunning Dok Bua Tong blossoms, which are sometimes referred to as Mexican sunflowers. The majority of flowers will be in bloom during the months of November and December. At this time of year, the hills and valleys of Mae Hong Son, in addition to the sites in the surrounding areas, take on a dazzling gold color. This is caused by the full bloom of the wild sunflowers. Last week, the administrator of tourism in the province made the announcement that hotel and resort occupancy rates have reached as high as 75%. According to him, this constitutes an exceptionally high occupancy rate in contrast to other times of the year. Visitors to Thailand will have the opportunity to experience yet another floral paradise at the upcoming Christmas event in Phu Ruea.
The Phu Ruea area of Loei will soon play host to a celebration known as the “Christmas Festival.” The event will be held in the Phu Ruea Christmas Courtyard, which is situated in close proximity to the Phu Ruea National Park entrance. The event is scheduled to take place from the 25th of November through the 31st of January of the following year. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place on the 25th and 26th of November, respectively, on Friday and Saturday. Guests will be able to take in the festive atmosphere of the event by admiring displays of red poinsettias and other types of Christmas flowers. Phu Ruea is considered to be the most important market in Thailand for the sale of winter flowers because it is located in one of the coldest places in the country. In addition, visitors get the opportunity to take in the breathtaking lights that were used to create the Christmas Courtyard. At a press conference on November 21, District Mayor Phumarin Kongpientham stated that Phu Ruea has been given the moniker of the “city of the sea of mountains, with gorgeous blossoming in all three seasons.” Phu Ruea has been described as having “pretty blooming in all three seasons.”
