Midea Thailand, a global titan in air conditioning systems and household appliances, made a grand appearance at the Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E 2024 event. The company flaunted its cutting-edge innovations in cooling solutions and home gadgets, giving business leaders and top-tier entrepreneurs a sneak peek into the future of technology. This spectacular event, themed “ONE STOP SOLUTIONS for Net Zero Future,” aims to propel businesses towards sustainability. Held from September 4th to 7th, 2024, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) Bangna, it was an event you couldn’t afford to miss.

Thanawat Wongcharnwut, the Deputy General Manager of MD Consumer Appliance (Thailand) Co., Ltd., affectionately known as Midea Thailand, shared, “Midea Thailand has brought together an assortment of cooling systems and home appliances to display at Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E 2024 under the theme ‘ONE STOP SOLUTIONS for Net Zero Future.’ We’re spotlighting products that marry futuristic technology with modern lifestyle needs, all while prioritizing environmental stewardship, which is key for sustainable business growth. We warmly welcome business leaders, entrepreneurs, and the public to visit us from September 4th to 7th at BITEC Bangna.”

Stepping into the spotlight at the Bangkok RHVAC and Bangkok E&E 2024, Midea introduced an array of new cooling systems and home appliance models. The show-stoppers? Products leveraging modern technology with eco-friendly features, such as the Midea VC MAX VRF Series and the Midea Inverter Direct-Drive Centrifugal Chiller. These innovations align seamlessly with Midea’s business vision and policy, which emphasises environmental care. The company is ambitious, aiming to slash greenhouse gas emissions within the next 24 months. Over the past two years, Midea Building Technologies has been diving deep into eco-friendly and carbon reduction projects, focusing on crafting products that can drive societal change.

Midea’s commitment to serious environmental practices is evident in its approach to product manufacturing. Selecting eco-friendly and recyclable materials like recycled plastics and alternative materials is standard practice. Additionally, Midea adopts refrigerants with low Global Warming Potential (GWP), such as R454B and R290, embedding its Green Supply Chain strategy into its DNA. Their rigorous environmental criteria extend to the supplier selection process. Most of Midea’s suppliers share this green vision, paving the way for sustainable long-term growth for all involved.

Looking ahead to 2025, Midea’s business goal is to double down on its leadership in the cooling systems and home appliance sectors. Their strategy emphasizes premium quality products, vibrant social engagement, and stellar after-sales service, all designed to cement global confidence and achieve a whopping 100% sales growth. These strategies not only highlight Midea’s competitive edge in a fiercely competitive global market but also reinforce its standing on the Fortune Global 500 list as a contributor to over one-third of global GDP. A notable milestone in their market expansion in Thailand was appointing the famous Muay Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek as the brand ambassador for their mPro Easy air conditioner model. This model, boasting the innovative “Black Fin” technology with a hyper graphene-coated fin, resists corrosion and extends the coil’s life by up to five times. It’s no wonder the product has garnered rave reviews from consumers!

In the latter half of 2024, Midea Thailand is set to make even bigger waves in the home appliance market with a slew of new product launches. From built-in hobs and range hoods controllable via Wi-Fi or the Internet of Things (IoT) to a water heater with a spa function designed to boost blood circulation and health, the innovations will keep coming. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Presently, Midea Thailand runs five manufacturing plants in Thailand, covering air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, small kitchen appliances, and compressors. These plants are based in Pinthong Industrial Estate 5, Chonburi Province, making this site the largest production hub for household air conditioners in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Midea Thailand sees vast growth potential, particularly in the air conditioning sector, thanks to Thailand’s relentless hot and humid climate driving high demand. Whether it’s for homes, office buildings, or retail stores, the need for air conditioning is insatiable. Despite fierce market competition, Midea’s unwavering commitment to quality and top-notch customer service makes the company confident in its ability to sustain and grow. Midea’s new air conditioners sound impressive, but how expensive are they going to be?
