Football enthusiasts in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, prepare yourselves for a thrilling new era in sports broadcasting! In an exciting turn of events, Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS) has triumphantly snagged the exclusive broadcasting rights for both the Premier League and the FA Cup, a coveted deal extending up to six thrilling seasons. The same JAS that’s widely recognized for its popular streaming service, MONOMAX, renowned for showcasing international films and series, is all set to transition into the world of football broadcasting. As the baton passes from TrueVisions to JAS, fans can expect a dynamic shift in how English football is brought to their screens.

This monumental deal encompasses Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, and grants JAS the sole privilege to air live broadcasts on Internet TV and Digital TV, as well as exclusive short video packages under the auspices of the Football Association Premier League Limited (FAPL). Fans will now have even more access to their favorite teams across a myriad of platforms.

Following an intense auction with options spanning either three seasons from 2025-2028 or a more ambitious six-season extension until 2031, JAS boldly embraced the six-year plan. Confirmed by FAPL, this move comes with a staggering price tag of US $549 million (approximately 19.17 billion baht) for the full tenure, offering a glimpse into the escalating commercial value of live sports broadcasting.

But this transaction is more than just numbers—it’s revolutionizing the viewing experience. Through the power of technology, you can stream the Premier League live, right from your palm or your cozy couch. MONOMAX will make this possible on a variety of devices including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and TV sticks. Fans can also tune into MONO 29, a free TV channel under JAS ownership, to catch live matches. With a subscription fee of a mere 400 baht per month, you’ll receive unlimited access not only to all Premier League and FA Cup games but also a wide array of international films and series, as reported by Main Stand.

In a recent statement, Dr. Soraj Asavaprabha, acting CEO of JAS, assured users that there would be no pesky hidden costs to access the matches. While JAS maintains its exclusivity under this agreement, they’re open to potential collaborations with other platforms such as 3BB GIGATV and AIS Play, broadening viewer access further.

This strategic accomplishment places JAS at the forefront of the broadcasting industry in Thailand. By delivering world-class football to living rooms across the region, JAS is poised to redefine the entertainment landscape and mesmerize fans with an unforgettable sports-viewing experience. Whether you’re a devoted supporter of the Reds or a staunch Blues enthusiast, the stage is set for countless exhilarating matches and unforgettable moments to brighten up your screens, and your days.

Wow, JAS getting this deal sounds impressive, but I’m worried about what it means for the quality of the broadcasts.

    • Lucy L. June 19, 2025

I think JAS has a good track record with MONOMAX. They might surprise us with the football coverage as well.

      • grower134 June 19, 2025

Maybe, but sports broadcasting is a different ballgame than movies. They need the right expertise.

    • Joe June 19, 2025

True, Lucy. I just hope they handle it better than TrueVisions did. We’ll see!

  2. FootballFanatic June 19, 2025

All I care about is how this affects my wallet. 400 baht better include some high-quality streams.

  3. Sammy88 June 19, 2025

Exciting times! MONOMAX was a good choice. Any legal way to watch the Premier League in SE Asia is a win!

    • Larry D June 19, 2025

Sammy, not everyone sees it that way. What about fans who can’t afford the subscription?

  4. Katie June 19, 2025

I’ve used MONOMAX before for movies. Their app was easy to use but what about live sports? They need to nail the live coverage.

Does anyone else feel like JAS might be overextending? $549 million is a huge investment.

    • Emily June 19, 2025

Larry, investing in sports rights is always a gamble, but football has a massive following. It could pay off big time.

You’re right, Emily. All they need is to attract enough subscribers. Fingers crossed!

What about the local bars and cafes? They depend on sports subscriptions. Anyone know how JAS will handle commercial licenses?

It’s not just about the games; it’s about culture. Football brings people together. I hope JAS enhances this collective experience.

Streaming on TV sticks will be great if they actually work without hiccups. Fingers crossed!

Just hope they keep their promise about no hidden costs. I hate surprises in bills.

Sue, I think they’ll want to avoid backlash. Hidden fees would ruin their reputation quickly.

Can’t wait to watch matches with my kids! Who else is raising future football stars?
