The world got their first glimpse of Thailand’s green future at Phuket’s prominent tech hub, BTC Space, on October 16, 2023. Mile Green, a trailblazer in the Thai automotive landscape, unveiled their brainchild project – ZEEGO: A brand colorfully extending the palette of electric vehicles (EVs). Maverick Hui, the man behind Mile Green, transported the audience to the beginnings of an EV revolution with their game-changing battery-swapping technology and integration with web3.
Peeling back the curtain, Maverick Hui, Mile Green’s ace founding figure and CEO, launched into the spotlight the dazzling ZEEGO motorcycle prototypes – the muscle-flexing BIKE2 and sleek SCOOT2. Going a step further, he also introduced two notable tuktuk renditions, TK01 and TK02, changing the lanes of conventional transportation. These products are charging up EV spectators by steering away from ordinary charging methodologies, painting the picture of a more convenient and efficient EV sphere.
An equally vibrant figure in this green venture, Dr. Tony Phadet Jinda, graced the occasion and expressed his anticipation and pride in this world-changing adventure. Dr. Jinda, the impassioned CEO of Finstable and one of Mile Green’s founding pillars, underscored the significance of converging innovative tech concepts with a sustainable approach to mobilizing transport industries. He stated, “ZEEGO’s unparalleled battery-swapping model will re-engineer the established automotive industry status quo and set astonishing benchmarks on the international front.”
While SCOOT2 adds polish with its chic and minimalist guise, primarily aimed at tourists frequenting the region, BIKE2 locks gaze with a more aggressive design, luring horsepower motorcycle enthusiasts and commercial delivery drivers. With rental facilities as smooth as a scroll through an intuitive mobile app, SCOOT2 offers tourists a greener way to wander at their preferred pace. The investment in BIKE2, with its rapid battery-replacement model, revolutionizes the delivery space, right down to the last-minute orders. This novel model provides the drivers an ever-ready approach without the burden of time-consuming charges.
The vehicle family welcomes TK01 and TK02, both making a thundering debut as greener tuktuks, an alternative to the traditional fuel-fed counterparts. The former charms onlookers with a classic car design ideal for tranquil tourist spots like parks, villas, and beaches, while the latter takes center stage as the fuel-free choice for public transport and commercial usage. Mr. Hui made a bold prediction of capturing a solid 5% of Thailand’s motorcycle and tuktuk market by 2025 through a network of battery-swapping stations and a profit-sharing model.
As an eye-catching highlight, a state-of-the-art battery swapping machine packed with a battery management system (BMS) took center stage at the launch. This intelligent machine, topped with a stainless steel crown, promises a brighter battery lifecycle and quicker, safer charging sessions. The ambitious plans to extend their territory canvassing other Southeast Asian nations like Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia were also laid out for the attendees.
In an exciting twist, a groundbreaking web-3 ride-to-earn platform, EVolve, was announced. Conceptualized to accelerate the EV uptake, this platform grants drivers with EVolve tokens for every mile driven on the EVs. Used within the ecosystem, these tokens will strengthen Mile Green’s commitment to connecting EV drivers in a sustainable community. Mile Green’s grand milestone embarks on an exhilarating journey to reshape Thailand’s EV narrative while inspiring a universal transformation towards a sustainable, brighter future.
