The new tourism cooperation accords that have been inked in preparation for the Visit Thailand-Korea Year 2023-2024 are expected to be helpful to Thailand’s tourism industry. They will assist the Tourism Authority of Thailand in positioning Thailand as a year-round destination for Korean tourists, particularly among members of Generation Z, millennials, women traveling alone, incentives, luxury, long-stay golfers, and honeymooners. They will also help position Thailand as a destination of choice for long-stay golfers. Thai Air Transport (TAT) and Korean Air have just signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will result in the addition of new flight routes to Thailand as well as an increase in the number of flights that are scheduled to arrive in the kingdom. The agreement was made possible as a result of TAT’s partnership with Korean Air. It is also a good opportunity to bring in extra American tourists, especially taking into consideration the advantageous flight schedules supplied by Korean Air from the United States to Thailand via Seoul. These schedules connect the United States and Thailand. Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, the TAT and the Korea Association of Travel Agents have committed to working together to strengthen their capacity to interact with one another and share information. In addition, they will work together to enhance travel between Thailand and Korea, study market trends jointly, identify growing demographics, and share business news and information with one another. SOOBAK will, in conjunction with the TAT, place its primary attention on the development of new technologies, with a special concentration on NFTs. They are going to examine the feasibility of leveraging NFTs and other developing technologies in order to construct a new tourism ecosystem, in addition to promoting Thai tourism and the concept of sustainability. As a direct result of the three new collaborations that have been established between Thailand and South Korea, it is hoped that the number of South Koreans traveling to Thailand in 2023 will significantly increase. This hope is based on the fact that it is expected that the number of South Koreans traveling to Thailand will significantly increase. It is estimated that this year there will be more than 500,000 people on vacation. In the next year, the target is to bring in 1.1 million tourists from the South Korean peninsula.
According to TAT News, the governor of the department, Yuttasak Supasorn, signed an agreement on Monday to create a Memorandum of Understanding or a Memorandum of Cooperation with each of the three Korean entities while he was in Seoul, South Korea. This agreement was signed with each of the three Korean entities. Supasorn was traveling throughout South Korea and made a stop in the nation’s capital city. He lauded the new arrangements as a boon to an ongoing tourism drive between Thailand and Korea and stated that it would not have been possible without them. As part of an initiative to fortify Thailand’s tourist connections with South Korea, the Tourist Authority of Thailand has recently formalized three new partnership arrangements. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has formed strategic alliances with Korean Air, the Korea Association of Travel Agents, and SOOBAK in the hopes of increasing the number of tourists coming from South Korea and further strengthening the friendly relations that already exist between the two countries.
