An exhilarating escapade took place from July 25 to 27, as participants found themselves traversing the enchanting landscapes of Cha-am, Hua Hin, and Pranburi, situated in the provinces of Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Orchestrated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), this event was meticulously designed not simply as a leisure trip, but a strategic venture aimed at giving bloggers a firsthand experience of Thailand’s thriving health and wellness tourism sector.
A cornerstone of this initiative was the promotion and elevation of tourism-related products and services, aimed at showcasing Thailand’s vibrant wellness tourism potential to a global audience, a feature brought to light by Apichai Chatchalermkit, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business at the TAT.
Within the ambit of this endeavor, TAT rolled out the riveting ‘Amazing Thailand Health and Wellness Tourism New Chapters New Experience’ project. This initiative was designed to bolster the standing of Thai products within the burgeoning arena of health and wellness tourism, fostering their distinctiveness amidst the competition.
In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, health consciousness experienced a global surge, and many countries pivoted their tourism strategies towards health- and wellness-centric services. Considering this shift, Thailand has had to rethink its strategy by innovatively promoting stellar services to retain its relevance in this evolution.
To meet this goal, TAT conceptualized and brought to life the aforementioned project, aiming to galvanize and escalate the value of Thai products and services in the context of health and wellness. They encouraged business leaders and entrepreneurs within the tourism industry to design novel tourism programs, centering on the theme of ‘Meaningful Wellness.’ This addresses the changing market dynamics in sync with the demands of Wellness Tourists worldwide.
Another exciting development is the announcement of the Global Media/Blogger Farm Trip. This event invites media partners, wellness bloggers, and influencers from around the world to experience ‘Meaningful Wellness,’ a pioneering concept encouraging health and wellness tourism while inspiring partners to partake in designing the travel routes.
This Global Media Blogger Fam Trip charted a path through Cha-am, Hua Hin and Pranburi, featuring top wellness bloggers and influencers including noteworthy guests from Italy, Australia, China, and local celebrities from Chongqing TV as well. The brainchild of a tourism entrepreneur from Destination Asia Thailand, this route is the epitome of wellbeing— restoring one’s balance amidst stellar surroundings.
TAT stands positive that the ‘Thailand Health and Wellness Tourism New Chapters New Experience’ project will augment Thailand’s prowess in the wellness industry. Additionally, it is hoped to increase the visibility of various Thai brands and attract health-conscious tourists around the globe, reinforcing Thailand’s standing as a distinguished Health and Wellness Tourism destination.
