Hong Kong’s Covid-19 travel restrictions cage up inhabitants. Hong Kong visitors will quarantine for three nights instead of seven. Hong Kongers are booking more flights to Seoul, Phuket, and Singapore, according to Expedia. Bangkok was the top destination when the administration announced this. Hong Kongers searched for flights to Bangkok after their government reduced quarantine days. 39% of respondents said trekking to see Thailand’s sunrises, 31% named shark or turtle conservation, and 28% mentioned coral planting. 36% are interested in homestays and 42% in coffee and tea estates. 94% of travelers rated Thailand highly. 57% of Covid respondents have taken five Thai vacations. Songkran, Loy Krathong, and a Thai music festival interest 62% of Hong Kong vacationers.
Expedia reported more Hong Kong travel. 86% of 3,000 Hong Kong residents plan to visit Thailand next year, a survey found. Lavinia Rajaram, Expedia’s PR head, said Hong Kongers’ interest in foreign travel has risen in the last six months.
