In a shocking event that sent shockwaves through the quaint districts of Mukdahan, a man, under the influence of drugs, launched an attack on his own father, resulting in grievous injuries. The incident surfaced after disturbed locals from the Nikhom Kham Soi district reached out to the local security forces about an individual displaying aggressive and disoriented behavior, casting blame on his father for an apparent death plot.
Upon receiving the alarming news, Nikhom Kham Soi district’s top security official, Khajornsak Khampan, assembled a task force of a dozen officers and made their way towards the crime scene. There they found the instigator, 47-year-old Sukkai Butrdee, a resident of house 19 in Phuphaeng Ma village, armed with a sinister-looking knife that he used to assault his father.
The swift actions of the security team ensured that Sukkai was promptly captured while he was still at the crime scene, as reported by KhaoSod. During the subsequent interrogation, comprehending Sukkai appeared to be a daunting task due to his disjointed and inconsistent speech. However, it became evident that he was under the influence of alcohol and had ingested cannabis and glue, a substance with potent narcotic properties.
This deadly cocktail of substances had led him into a hallucinatory state, where he was convinced that his father, a co-inhabitant of his house, had plotted his murder. Ambushed by irrational anger, he attacked his father with the knife, leaving his right hand and fingers deeply wounded. The officers acted swiftly and escorted him to the Nikhom Kham Soi Hospital for immediate medical attention.
In a heartrending revelation, the victim, the accused’s father, disclosed that he had been a regular victim of his son’s physical abuse. His son’s daily consumption of cannabis, glue, and alcohol resulted in unpredictable, often violent behavior. Post his drug-induced episodes, his conduct would spiral into hostility, leading to violent outbreaks.
The hapless father pleaded with the officials to institute legal proceedings against his son, expressing his inability to control his son’s destructive behavior. Underlying his plea was the fear that any attempt to admonish his son would serve only to trigger further physical actions.
