Some may try to pin the blame on Israel for the catastrophic blow sustained by Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. However, contrary to the defamatory claims propagated by Hamas, the evidence captured through various forms of video indicates, unambiguously, that the rockets were not dispatched by Israel, but indeed were inadvertently launched by Islamic Jihad from within the borders of the Gaza Strip. These misguided projectiles, intended for Israeli territory, fell short, causing irreparable damage and bereavement within Gaza,” the official statement insisted.
The unfortunate incident at the hospital resulted in the tragic death of 471 innocent civilians, as reported on Wednesday by the health ministry of Gaza. The scale of this calamity has stirred up immense vehemence throughout the Middle East. Israel’s military, on examining the incident, affirmed that the source of the deadly explosion was a defective rocket initiated from within Gaza. Following an exhaustive investigation, the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) further clarified that no IDF ammunition was aimed at the region during the time of the catastrophe.
The statement delivered some distressing statistics, indicating that since the onset of the hostilities, more than 450 errant rockets targeting Israel had indeed ended up within Gaza, wreaking havoc on its own territory. Among its casualties was Al Ahli Hospital, directly hit by rockets that had gone astray.
The responsibility for the attack was vehemently denied by Islamic Jihad, a stance in stark contrast to Hamas who singled out Israel as being responsible. As the battle rages on, safety remains a primary concern. All Thai citizens that previously resided or worked in areas coming within a 4-kilometre radius of the tumultuous Gaza border, have been evacuated from the danger zone according to the embassy’s statement.
The ambassador to Thailand, Orna Sagiv, insisted that Thai workers residing in Israel are treated with the same honor, and protected with the same intensity as any Israeli or individual of any other nationality.
Israel alleges that seventeen civilians of Thai origin are among the 199 people currently held captive by Hamas. The Thai government’s records indicate a distressing increase in casualties, suggesting that life in Israel has claimed thirty Thai lives since the confrontation escalated on October 7. In the aftermath of the conflict, more than 7,000 Thais have expressed their desire to return to their homeland. To assist in this undertaking, the Thai government is collaborating with Israeli authorities to ensure safe repatriation flights.
