According to Sanyalak, over 227,386 people traveled during the most recent long weekend, which was marked as Thai Father’s Day from December 2-5. According to him, as reported by The Pattaya News, this accounted for 23,233 journeys. During the three-day weekend from December 10 to 12, Thai transportation authorities expect tens of thousands of people to travel within the country by bus. The managing director of the state-owned Transport Co Ltd., Sanyalak Panwattanalikhit, indicated that the company is responsible for around 3,000 trips every day. To prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, it is urged that passengers comply with the rules set forth by the Transport Company, such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
Constitution Day is a Thai national holiday commemorating the day in 1932 when Thailand became the first permanent constitutional monarchy in the world. Due to the fact that the holiday falls on a Saturday this year, it will be observed on the following Monday. There are numerous stunning natural sites in Thailand, which is one reason for the country’s popularity over long weekends. A three-day weekend in October attracted tens of thousands of visitors to some of the country’s most spectacular natural sites. According to officials stationed in Chiang Mai, more than 10,000 individuals traveled to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain peak in Thailand. A tourism-related business owner in the western province of Kanchanaburi said that the enormous number of tourists who visited the district of Sangkhla Buri during the recent holiday generated more than 30 million baht in earnings. During the same long weekend, Pattaya hosted two seafood festivals, which attracted a large number of visitors. The “Sea Bear” food festival was held at the Central Pattaya shopping mall, resulting in higher sales for participating vendors. In addition, the Terminal 21 retail center had a seafood festival that attracted a considerable number of vacationers. In the month of August, about 57,000 individuals traveled to the southern Thai province of Surat Thani for a three-day weekend. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), a total of 24,639 foreign tourists visited one of the islands or a region within a province in 2017. During the holiday weekend, 57,243 people traveled to various regions of Thailand, with 32,604 visiting the province. This raises the province’s total number of visitors to 57,243.
During Thailand’s three-day holiday weekend, transport officials anticipate tens of thousands of bus passengers
