A hearty, sustainable feast awaits attendees at the Sustainability Expo 2023 (SX2023) currently taking place at the prestigious Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in the vibrant heart of Bangkok. A unique blend of sustainability, education and gastronomic exploration, SX2023 boasts a star-studded line-up featuring the much-anticipated SX Food Festival.

In its glorious fourth year, the expo encapsulates the life-affirming tagline “Good Balance, Better World”, showcasing a carefully curated selection of sustainability-focused zones, serving as wellsprings of inspiration for visitors. Among these, the SX Food Festival takes center stage. Committed to redefining our relationship with food, it offers a tantalising journey through the past, present and future of sustainable cuisine.

Adding a dash of culture to the eclectic mix, the SX Food Festival presents “Thai Street Food Museum”, a foodie’s paradise, replicating the bustling streets of Bangkok and the charming alleys of Phuket Old Town. All set with a goal: to promote scrumptious, sustainable food that leaves both our palates and the planet grateful.

Organic meals, medicinal treats, and future-ready edibles get the spotlight at the festival, each lovingly crafted with an ethos of sustainability and well-being. Celebrity chefs from acclaimed TV shows – Iron Chef Thailand, Top Chef Thailand, and MasterChef Thailand – switch on the heat, proving that zero-waste cooking techniques can indeed churn out delectable dishes.

One of the highlights includes the super-jumbo shrimp wonton by Nattawut “Chef Aof” Thammapan, who brilliantly transforms shrimps from a closed-loop farming system into a culinary masterpiece. Diners can also savor ‘Khanom Jeen Namya Pu’, a luscious crab curry and rice noodles dish by Thananya “Chef Kai” Khaikeaw, all prepared using organic vegetables and nutrient-rich crab. In addition, Som Chun drink from Paweenut “Chef Kaew” Yodpreechawichit offers a refreshing accompaniment.

Reputed as ASEAN’s largest annual sustainability event, SX2023 treats visitors to a variety of food and drink options. The SX Food Festival is just one realm of this grand exposition which encompasses also the SX Marketplace and SX Kids, all harmoniously flowing into the expo’s vibrant tapestry of five leading sustainability-themed exhibitions.

Catch the action from today till Oct 8 on the LG floor at the QSNCC in the bustling Klong Toey district. Free entry allows visitors to immerse in this transformative journey from 10am to 8pm. For additional information, visit www.sustainabilityexpo.com.
