The Emergency Decree, which has been in place since March 24, 2020 and established the CCSA to address the coronavirus epidemic, will not be renewed for a 20th time when it expires on September 30. This was declared by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. When the decree expires, COVID will be downgraded to the status of a “disease under observation,” and the CCSA will provide one final set of instructions for this change in classification. The National Health Security Office’s telemedicine technology will soon allow people with COVID to receive care at home or in hospitals. For high-risk individuals who are thought to be at risk for being over 60 years old, another software called Clicknic will be employed.
After that, the Communicable Diseases Act of 2015 will have jurisdiction over all legislation concerning COVID and any other health threat. There will be two apps, Good Doctor Technology and MorDee, that can assist those who are asymptomatic or have minor infections. According to Dr. Udom Kachintorn, advisor to the CCSA, there are currently 70,000 persons with the coronavirus in hospitals or homes, albeit the majority show just minor symptoms. The committee will meet prior to its dissolution to establish safety regulations and lay out a strategy for how those who are affected can be best treated and cared for. It’s anticipated that this figure will hold stable for approximately a month before starting to fall. It is anticipated that by the end of the year, Covid will only cause around 10 fatalities and 1,000 hospitalizations daily. It’s finally time to say goodbye to our longtime buddy, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, after more than 2.5 years.
