Vaccination against the Covid-19 virus is now available for infants and children aged six months to four years old. The Ministry of Public Health has begun a new campaign to vaccinate infants and toddlers with a version of the Pfizer vaccine that contains a dosage that is drastically reduced. In the United States, vaccination of young children within the same age range has been carried out using the same vaccine. The Thai Khu Fah page on Facebook, which is managed by the government, highlights the effectiveness and safety of Pfizer vaccines on children in the United States. According to Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry, the micro dosage reduces the risk of multisystem inflammatory syndromes and has been associated with a decreased incidence of adverse effects in children (MCOT). In August, the government of Thailand gave its approval for the use of the Comirnaty Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by Pfizer in infants and young children aged six months to less than five years. On January 31, vaccination of children aged five to eleven years old began after testing in real-world conditions demonstrated the vaccine’s safety.
For children in this smallest age group, the dose will be adjusted to 10 micrograms each injection. The recommended dosage for children aged 5 to 11 years old is 30 mcg. The Pfizer vaccine is diluted for children using an equal volume of 0.9% sodium chloride solution, and each vial contains 1.3 milliliters of the concentrated form of the vaccine. The serum included in each vial is then sufficient to treat ten children individually. This reduced and watered-down mix offers a number of distinct benefits. Side effects are less common and less severe, typically lasting between one and two days, and generally consisting of weariness, headaches, muscle pains, fever, chills, and swelling or redness at the site where the vaccination was administered. After being removed from ultracold storage, the children’s vaccine formulation can also be stored for up to ten weeks at temperatures ranging from 2 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius. This storage can be done. Eight weeks after children have received their second dosage, they are eligible to receive booster shots of 3 mcg each dose. These shots can be given to children eight weeks following the second dose. The secretary-general of the Thai Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Paisan Dankhum, stated that the vaccines will be more than 80% effective in youngsters after three doses of the medication.
